£600 for prem economy

Looking at flights for the summer holidays approximately an 8 hour flight.

There is my daughter, partner and me. The difference between economy and premium for one way is £600. I can't decide whether to pay this or not. My partner says its a waste as £600 would be a great amount of spending money when we are there. I hate being hemmed in though but could manage as its only 8 hours.
I wouldn't book a cheap scruffy hotel room as I wouldn't enjoy it but this is just a seat.

I can't decide. Would you pay £600 for a few more inches?

Id rather sit in economy tbh. I had this same decision last time i went on holiday, money was there but i kept thinking to myself that once i stepped off the plane id regret spending so much just to be in a better seat. I mean if £600 extra isnt a prob for you then go ahead, but personally i wouldnt

I'd book your Economy seats and then see whether there are any offers to upgrade to Premium. Log into the website every few days to check.

I got a good one earlier in the year - I'd actually booked Premium Economy (just for me) as I have back problems and I was offered a good deal to upgrade to Business... even better for my back!

It was much cheaper than the Business price when I originally booked

We did on a night flight.

My family are really tall, it made the journey much better and we felt less exhausted when we got home.

You pay your money and make your choice!?!? Grin

I paid extra to fly to New York - it was main cabin extra on American Airlines and well worth the money IMO.

We didn't bother on the BA return flight, and frankly it was torture. DH couldn't move.

8 hours is a very long time to be uncomfortable.

I’m size 20 so upgrade to a more roomy seat on Virgin flights. Haven’t flown with BA premium. I’d be interested to know if they are decent in premium economy.

I like to lounge over my partner but you can't with Premium.

Is your partner mysteriously enthusiastic about premium economy
