Why are there so few Minecraft clothes aimed at girls?

I don't mean it all has to be pink and frilly, but I mean the cut and style of Minecraft clothes for kids seems very aimed at boys. My daughter is 7 and recently got some Minecraft socks and was so thrilled with them. I wanted to get her a T shirt, but she doesn't really like black. In my family, 2 boys and 2 girls, everyone loves Minecraft equally. I don't get why it's seen as a boy thing.

Can anyone recommend some more girly T shirts or hoodies?

Why do girls need special colours, why is black not a girl’s colour?Confused

My daughter wears Minecraft/Pokemon stuff and jeans from the boys section. Ds2 also has a guns n roses T-shirt and an ac/dc one from the girls section.
When it comes to T-shirt's and hoodies I can't really tell if they're girls or boys tbh

minecraft is dark colours anyway so the clothes would represent that.

Purpletigers · 10/04/2019 11:54

There isn’t a lot of pink in Minecraft tbh. Surely the correct colours are black and greens . My daughter wore a lot of “boys” clothes when she was younger as she hates pink , lilac , sparkly clothes .

It's just the way she is. She likes building cakes and collecting animals. 😂

She doesn't like wearing black or grey, but there have been some great suggestions on this thread, so thank you so much!

Be thankful it's just unicorns, 25 years ago you'd see girl's t-shirts with things like 'Party Tart' on them Shock

Oh god, and "Manteaser" and the like > shudders <

Happy shopping OP and let her enjoy wearing whatever colour she likes, they aren't young forever Sad

I bought this one for my DD a couple of years back.

Sadly not available at the moment, but it was an official one so they might bring it back. I loved the colours and style of it.

They aren't aimed at boys. They are just aimed at kids, she can wear whichever ones she wants. If you meant that you couldn't find a pink one then just say so, that doesn't mean that they aren't for girls lol

7 year olds don’t need a girls cut t shirt. There’s some nice white ones out there with all the characters on but you’ll have to look in the boys section. DD got hers from Sainsbury’s.

Happyspud · 10/04/2019 15:43

What do you mean the ‘cut’ isn’t for girls? You mean tight and hugging their bodies? Accentuating their hips and chest and legs?

Frankly it’s depressing in the extreme that there’s a ‘cut’ to girls clothes and mums are actually looking for it.

Sexy babe was another - on pre-teen t-shirts.

I remember walking around a market around 10-15 years ago or so, and there being a young girl in front of me who was probably around 8 wearing jeans with "sexy" on the rear. Why on earth would you dress a child like that?
