Tony can’t die. I just won’t have it.

And am I the only person who had a bit of sympathy for Thanos?

It's definitely about time travel because in the trailer it shows them all in 'Quantum suits'. I think it will cleverly link a lot of films, possibly travelling to scenes in previous Avengers films as far back as Assemble.

I think Tony Stark will survive and retire and Cap A will die saving him.

DD14 adores Captain Marvel. She has a huge woman-crush on her.

I kind of initially thought, the remaining Avengers would bring back the ones that disappeared (something to do with the time stone) but the 'posters' for the film I've seen say something like 'avenge the fallen' - so could be Endgame is just that, about avenging the fallen & those who have gone will stay gone. I hope not!

However, we haven't yet seen Captain Marvel yet, do we need to see this beforehand?

And am I the only person who had a bit of sympathy for Thanos?

Well he's not wrong about the problem, but his solution is a bit off. Half the people gone just like that would lead to a massive collapse of civilizations and many more deaths.

I think Thanos is meant to gain some sympathy. I think people are meant to agree with what he is saying but not his methods.

I think the soul stone has some relevance here. Gamora was swapped for the soul stone so can potentially come back, and the snappers could be in the soul realm, so if that's regained they could be brought back.

I'm probably talking absolute crap though.

The young boy from iron man 3 is in it - I reckon he’s Tony and peppers son that they take back in time to protect him.

I think he'll be Tony's replacement in the MCU/Avengers. If Tony dies or retires then they have a vacancy for a genius scientist inventor type and this kid would fit the bill, he could even wear the suit if they wanted to keep Iron Man going.

DD7 loved Captain Marvel. When she goes full glow (don't want to post circumstances and spoil it for anyone!) I heard her little voice whisper "boo-yah, suckers".

I think Cap and Tony will die. Chris Evans said something about finishing the character arc for Cap, and there's a bit in the trailer with Cap and Tony doing a "do you trust me" type line. I reckon it'll be a double sacrifice - recalling Steve throwing himself on the dummy grenade in the first Captain America film and the argument he and Tony had in Avengers Assemble when said Tony would 'never be the one to lay down on top of the wire and let your buddy crawl over you' and Tony replied 'I think i would just cut the wire'. I reckon it'll double death but they'll be able to save everyone else/bring everyone back (except Loki, sadly!!).

• Iron man and Nebula get their ship fixed and fly back to earth
• Capt Marvel shows up
• all fly to where Thanos is
• Infinity Gauntlet is broken, so Thanos can only use one stone at a time
• the gang kill Thanos
• flash forward a few months or maybe a year. Everyone is super-sad because all the people killed by Thanos are still dead, and the Gauntlet doesn’t work so they can’t bring them back
• Ant-Man arrives via a time vortex in the quantum realm, with a canister full of quantum energy
• they realise they can travel through the quantum realm to alternate realities, collecting infinity stones and a gauntlet from parallel universes
• cue a Back to the Future style romp as various groups of avengers travel to past movies to grab infinity stones
• the original avengers travel to the battle of new York to grab space stone and mind stone. Loki realises what is happening and tells Thanos
• Wong contacts Dr Strange in Soul World. Dr Strange and Wong are able to assemble the dead avengers to await resurrection
• Final battle has Professor Hulk wielding an infinity gauntlet, and Thanos wielding one and a big sword
• All dusted Avengers are resurrected by Hulk gauntlet, leading to a very expensive action scene
• Thanos defeated but alive
• Nebula grabs gauntlet. Kills Thanos in vengeance and resurrects Gamora
• Nebula killed by Gamora out of sympathy, as she has been driven mad by vengeance, torture and supreme power. Nebula was not strong enough to wield the gauntlet and remain sane
• time is wound back to the moment of the snap, and the snap is undone for the rest of the world
• Avengers can remember the snap, but the rest of the world don’t
• captain America is either killed or defeated. But is sent back in time to live out his days with Agent Carter
• Iron Man sacrifices his life to defeat Thanos

Gamora is in soul stone and I think will come back. There will be time travel involved due to the costume shot released of them all in ant man style suits.

I think they will try to get the stones themselves before Thanos and Cap Marvel will wield the gauntlet or something similar, based off one of the pre programmed speech patterns in the recently released Thanos toy.

To get the soul stone Cap will sacrifice himself. Tony will retire and have babies with Pepper. Sorts out new Guardians film and Loki tv show (though not sure when the latter is based time wise).

Have my tickets. Can’t wait!

I think HBStow has it right. Tony will retire and have a baby with Pepper. Captain America will die. I'd like Gamora to survive but I tbink the deaths not caused by snap are different... i hope Thor sticks around I know they were done at one point but last I heard Chris Hemsworth was up for more after ragnarok was good (and thor is possibly my favourite). I would be very surprised if black panther and Spiderman did it come back....

I want to know who the ghostly bloke who guarded the soul stone was before he got left there in punishment.

I don't have a clue. He did look familiar! Need to re watch it before end game. There's so much you miss when watching them all first time round.

I saw somewhere that Loki's speech when he died was a clue to Thor, and that he may be able to lead the forces of Valhalla to the struggle. I'd love to see Loki back. I'm not sure about Tom Hiddlestone sometimes, but he is amazing as Loki.
