To take toddler to the barbers?

DS 15 months has inherited his dad's unruly mop, it stands on end at the crown and looks a bit silly imo.

WIBU to take him to the barbers at this age? DP thinks so, but then he would because he puts wax and gel on his own so he doesn't look electrocuted like poor DS Grin

Would you just leave it be?

He's 15 months old and you think his hair looks a 'bit silly'? It's baby hair.

What exactly are you thinking of getting a barber to do, style it?

If it's long and getting in his way perhaps take him to a hairdressers to get it trimmed a bit. Do barbers do hair cuts for babies?

Yanbu but he probably won’t sit still!

Our hairy toddler went at 13 months. He needs to go again soon. We went when it was quiet and asked the barber to tidy it up. Looks much better than the lopsided trims I used to give him!

Of course. My one attempt at cutting DS's hair left him looking like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, so he was going to the barber from about that age. Barbers are better because they are quick and no need to book - just say no to wax, unless you want him looking like something off Towie.

I had a mega hairy baby, my hairdresser had to trim his fringe at six months. Try your hairdresser.

I took my eldest daughter to the hairdressers at nine months. She had just so much hair Grin. Her Dad attempted to cut the front of it - I was at the hairdressers the next morning!
