To not dye my hair

I am 33 next week. I have midlength brunette hair but have in recent years gained grey 'wings' (think sopranos) underneath which are really really visible when I pin my hair back. It seems to be getting worse faster now.

I've never been overly bothered but do get comments from friends and family occasionally.

Do what you want to do. I will say though that unless you are rather olive skinned, most people don’t suit grey hair and it also ages them considerably. Sad but true.

I love my silver sprinkles. I have some turquoise going on at the moment, as I love a bit of bright colour. If the silver ramps up it won’t bother me at all, I’ll probably still whack brights on as and when, same as I have since my early twenties.

I dye my hair. Must be 90 % white now at 39. I have been dyeing forever. Started to go grey in my late teens. I am just not ready to stop yet. Its a weird one because I have black eyebrows and very dark brown hair. I think about stopping but then I think how odd it would look to have black brows with white hair. An extreme case of collar and cuffs on my head! So I dye every 6 weeks and inbetween use Everpro Zero Grey. Its a powder that you can dab on to cover it. It lasts until you wash it. Meant to use it with hair spray to fix it but I never do.

The others are right. Dyeing IS a pain. If I had a few or even quite a few I don't think I would bother. I do like having dark hair though. Its just yuk when you get re-growth.

Do whatever you like to your hair, OP, it’s your hair.

I dye my hair to hide the grey. I’d be probably about 30-40% grey if I didn’t. I decided to leave it for a while once, and realised I looked ancient, so I decided to dye it again!
For one thing, I’m 50 but still have youngish children, and don’t want anyone to think I’m their grandmother; for another, whilst grey hair is gorgeous, as are grey streaks, the salt and pepper look can look very messy and ageing. When I’m entirely grey I’ll stop dyeing it.

Also, I don’t find it a pain or a great expense to dye it: I do it myself at home every six weeks ish. Takes half an hour and costs about a fiver.

I don't mind the colour of my greys - it's the texture, growing at a pubic right angle and the fact that they're all about two inches long at most. If i could get my greys to behave like the rest of my chestnut-ish hair i wouldn't keep lush henna-ing over them. Any tips?
