So, ladies (and the occasional gentleman, and non-binary other):
I have an airboot on my leg due to recent injury. DH is away for the weekend - this is much needed, he’s been really stressed and it’s a chance to decompress, I don’t have a problem with that. He also worked really hard before he went to organise activities with friends and family for DS (4), but unfortunately 2 out of the three activities have now fallen through due to illness and other circumstances (after he left for the weekend away). I’ve done a bit too much this week and supposedly healing ankle currently looks like a balloon, so I need a weekend mostly confined to the sofa. But I’ve got DS4 with me. So we can do films for a bit, and he can bring toys to the sofa for me to play with him with. I can’t drive anywhere, or ideally walk anywhere much. We have funds for taxis. So what can I do with DS4 that will keep him occupied and able to burn off energy without me walking much at all? Help!?!?!?

Are there any occasional sessions (I mean things they can do as a one off, rather than a signed for activity) at the local sports centre? You would have to walk from the taxi to the event. Thinking of something like trampolining.
Let him run wild in your garden, if you have one.
Trip out to cinema, with lunch out afterwards.
Trip out to the library, choose some books and read them on the sofa when you get home.
Any neighbours with similar aged children who would look after him for an hour or two? You can offer to reciprocate when you are better.
