For a week now there has been none of the black tins of tomato soup with chilli or Mexican spices.

Are all the Brexit stock pilers buying it? Sad

can you not just add chilli or chilli flakes to the ordinary tomato soup?

I made rice pudding in my slow cooker once and instead of doubling the amount of liquid I halved it . It was like sweet tyre rubber.
My guests still ate it though.
I think it was the same night I had no white wine for a dish I was making . It came out lilac .
Still tasted good.
BTW I have all the tins of soup just BECAUSE.

Is there a MN "Brexit - What are you stockpiling?" thread?

I think Aldi do a version of this. It's in their slightly more upmarket range in the tins with black labels. Not really worth the trip if you're not near an Aldi though. Unless you're up for perusing the middle aisle of shite that is.

Agree with pp - buy Heinz Tomato soup - add your own seasoning via grinder. Lots of choices/mixes available - chilli, garlic, ginger etc.

Nincada,
I live in Brighton. There's a big cheap shop in London Road, on the corner of Baker Street, that has the one with Mexican spice. I was in there today.

Saw it in my local B & M bargains for it 50p per tin. Bought 6 for my Brexit cupboard. I've also done what another poster suggested, put chilli flakes in ordinary Heinz tomato soup, its not bad.

@Oysterbabe I now have to try Mulligatawny. I have never bought it as for some reason thought it was like minestrone but Indian spice soup sounds amazing.

Also obsessed with a french onion.

It's amazing. It's been my favourite since I was about 10.
