Yodel texted earlier to give me a delivery window, every minute of which I have spent sitting at my desk which is at a window beside my front door.

Apparently during this time they were unable to deliver and left a card.

Obviously no card has been left, and they didn't try and deliver. The online customer chat person tells me that the van is showing online as having been at my address.

AIBU to think that unless Yodel has Antman style shrinking technology which has enabled a microscopically small van to pull up to my letterbox and deliver an invisibly small delivery card, the bastarding twatting shitbag of a delivery driver hasn't been here at all?

I ordered something from Amazon which was due for delivery on a Thursday. After I had gone out for the day on the Wednesday I got a message to say it would be delivered later on the Wednesday. Fine, I thought as they will leave it inmy designated safe place. Imagine my surprise when I got a message from my neighbour opposite to say that there was a parcel on my front step (in full view of anyone passing) and if I was not going to be back shortly then he would take in in for me. I thanked his and asked him to take the parcel in as I would be late back. The following morning I went to retrieve my parcel from my kind neighbour, who handed me the parcel together with the couriers card which said that the parcel had been left - a card which had been left sticking out of the letterr box so that my neighbour had been able to remove it as indeed would anyone else who may have decided to remove my parcel

The couriers don't care as the dispute is always between the customer and the seller.

Well, I’ve just received a text saying the delivery is due in a bit. I have put a sign on the door asking the driver to knock loudly.

What shall I say to him or her about yesterday’s debacle?

I had problems with Yodel a few weeks back. They claimed noone was home when they tried to deliver even though, like you, I was sat by the door. Left a card saying it had been left with number 16 which seemed odd as this lady doesn't like taking in parcels for people. She didn't have it. Spoke to Yodel online who were adament it was left with number 16. I eventually managed to get a replacement successfully sent out. The other day I noticed said item sat in my neighbour at the other side of me's outbuilding (number 18). They're CFs for taking in and opening my parcel and making no attempt to let me know they have it, but makes you wonder how many times items get delievered to the wrong house and those people just end up keeping it.

Well, it arrived, and it’s from a retailer I haven’t bought from before. I’m going to contact them and say I love their products but I won’t buy from them again if they use Yodel.

Yodel are the pits. My heart sinks when I see a company’s used them. Trouble is you don’t know until you’ve placed the order.
