To ask if there is a decent substitute for Coca Cola?

Me and Coca Cola (the full sugar kind, with red and white packaging some call "full fat") have had a love affair for 2 decades now. But the price is leaving me feeling a bit bitter now, and I'm wondering if I'm just falling for the brand I know because, well, I know it? Is there a valid alternative though? Tia x

Im a Diet coke fan. It has to be actual diet coke no imposter diet cokes! I don't even like coca cola light when i go abroad cos it tastes different. If water as a pp has suggested was any way a suitable substitute i would be a lot richer and healthier!!

Numptysod · 05/04/2019 12:24

Go bold turkey you won’t miss it, and if you have some it pure sugar my teeth can’t stand it!

Nanny0gg · 05/04/2019 12:48

No.

Only alternative is a totally different drink
Any other form of coke or cola is disgusting.

I've stuck with Coke, there's nothing else that tastes quite like it. I won't give it up, as my 2 or 3 cans a week aren't going to hurt me! Diet drinks are vile, hence only drinking Coke when I go out now.

The Aldi version isn't too bad but it's still not the same. I buy a one litre bottle of Coca Cola a week and drink it at the weekend. I have tried alternatives but none of them are as nice. Yes it's not good for me but at least it's not full of sweetners.

These people telling you to give it up. FFS we know it's no good for you are we not allowed to have any vices! Bore off.

Maybe do what you have to do when changing to a different baby formula milk - pour Coca Cola and add a bit of Aldi cola, then next time gradually reduce the Coca Cola and increase the Aldi stuff until it’s 100% Aldi and you won’t even know the difference.

You’re welcome.
