I'm in bed.
I've just remembered there is laundry outside on the line.
Shock
I really cannot be arsed to get up, get dressed , turn off burglar alarm, go outside and unpeg the bloody stuff.

Aibu to just leave it out there to get darked on???

Surely clothes will not dry outside the same day
We dry all our washing outside. It dries in a few hours and we live in the damp West Country.

StBernard · 01/04/2019 14:31

Same as Maitland, I always dry mine overnight here in summer otherwise the sun bleaches them. White bed sheets and towels get dried in the day. We get very strong warm winds in summer so line drying isn't too different to the tumble dryer anyway!

QueenEhlana · 01/04/2019 15:35

Clothes being darked on and spider willies are a MN joke from way back!

PregnantSea · 01/04/2019 15:36

I live in a country with lots of deadly venomous creatures and i often dry clothes overnight... Just shake stuff out when you take it down?

Siameasy · 01/04/2019 15:38

I did this once and they were full of earwigs. Hideous. I’d still do it again tho. My house at the time had an earwig problem so it depends how earwiggy an area you live in

billybagpuss · 01/04/2019 15:40

grrrrr.. I just had to run outside and get mine in as neighbour had a bonfire. At 3pm on a Monday!!!!

QueenEhlana · 01/04/2019 16:06

I just went to hang clothes up and decided not to - the local fields have just been manured. Bleugh…..

breakthepattern · 01/04/2019 23:13

Haha oh shit they're still out there!!! Grinat least this time I'm still downstairs. Albeit in my dressing gown...

breakthepattern · 01/04/2019 23:22

I did that once - it turns out our washing line is directly under a bird flight path. Never again.

PhilomenaButterfly · 01/04/2019 23:26

notharry mine will dry in half an hour on a hot day.

TheSerenDipitY · 02/04/2019 01:51

ut oh
its getting DARKED on

Alicewond · 02/04/2019 01:55

Your sheets are now haunted, bring them inside at your peril, they’ve been through too much outside in the dark to ever be happy in the light....

Princess1066 · 02/04/2019 01:55

I have a bird flight path in my garden too and horses and cattle nearby meaning flies in the summer so my washing stays inside where it's clean Grin

Princess1066 · 02/04/2019 01:56

Spider willies too probably

Princess1066 · 02/04/2019 01:57

Outside not inside hopefully Shock

Alicewond · 02/04/2019 02:00

@Princess1066 spider willies 😂. Do you join with female spider parts to make spider babies in the laundry room?? 😮

Bluestringsoup01 · 02/04/2019 02:00

I always do this! Leave it and keep warm 😊

BaronessBomburst · 02/04/2019 02:03

Did it freeze and defrost again?
Pretty sure it was 0 C last night.

Princess1066 · 02/04/2019 02:13

@Alicewond Oh Lordy maybe I should check to see if there is any spider copulation occurring in my smalls Hmm

breakthepattern · 02/04/2019 07:00

It came in last night!
I'll report back on any guests that came in with it... Confused

Mine had a night al fresco last night. Got to 10pm and I could t be arsed to stand about in the cold and dark in my nightie to get it in 🤷‍♀️. Plus I’d rather the spiders (and their willies) were on the washing than on my face 😂 it’ll dry at some point and if not I’ll jist have to get it in won’t I?!
