She is still listed on their website BUT hasn't publicly dobe anything with them IN AGES!!......

Nothing on youtube
Nothing on insta

She's gone all grabby and greedy, in my opinion, touting for sponsorship deals etc Her "work" is akin to a QVC presenter IMO

She made a major "boob" (her word not mine) approx six months ago

SO

was this the consequence?..........did CM let her go on the quiet? Is that why she is going after every advertising gig possible?

.....Mrs Meldrum

I don't think Mrs Meldrum is any worse than any of the other channel mums/Instamums. All of these women are on youtube/Instagram with their children for the money. She did a couple adverts but didn't say they were adverts, so what? There are countless American vloggers (more followers/richer) that are not even required to disclose anything. I think if these women are going to exploit their families for internet fame/money, then they might as well get as much money as possible but I personally think no child's pictures should be allowed on social media regardless of monetary gains! Social media has done nothing but change society for the worse and made people antisocial in real life. Children get no say on where their picture ends up, so I think it's wrong to put them on social media.

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 30/03/2019 12:31

Apart from getting free stuff

How do these people get money from you tube?

Is it views?

Likes?

I follow quite a few but only for motorhoming or campervan vlogs cos they post reviews, tips and travel vlogs of places I want to visit

I don't like cleaning so don't follow people who clean their houses with zoflora 24/7 which is the only thing I have read about Mrs M on here. No idea what else she does though

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 30/03/2019 12:34

Or subscribers?

Numbers of videos you post in a week?

Do you get more money when it goes up to next level like 50,001 gets you significantly more money than 49,999 subscribers on you tube?

hopeishere · 30/03/2019 12:39

I think it is that the more views they have the more freebies they get offered / sent / can work with.

GoodGravy · 30/03/2019 12:44

The only "influencer" (anti-influencer? ) I follow is the woman who does the Knee Deep in Life YouTube videos because she's fucking funny.
And a refreshing antidote to all the other shit.

Who cares?

Princessmushroom · 30/03/2019 12:57

Actually nurseornot, it is law in America to disclose adverts. It isn’t law in the UK (yet) so please don’t spout BS you don’t know about.

Nurseornot · 30/03/2019 13:21

@Princessmushroom I nearly never see American vloggers disclosing videos that are sponsored so this is news to me. I don't think vloggers are treated the same in America as typical advertisers. And you can leave your aggressive tone at the door, thanks.

Nurseornot · 30/03/2019 13:35

That being said, I personally enjoy travel vloggers because I like to get ideas on where to go.

@SubisYodrethwhenLarping they make money from views (when their viewers watch adverts that play before the video) but they make more money from getting videos sponsored. For example, one of the travel vloggers I watch just got sponsored by OnePlus to show off the camera capabilities of the phone. The more subscribers a vlogger has, the more sponsors will want to work with them as I understand it. I don't think it's bad to watch vloggers because you are basically supporting them and giving them a chance to do a different kind of job, plus I think it's good to support content creators that are independent. Family vloggers have recently been getting a lot of heat though and are in a unique situation.

BishopBrennansArse · 30/03/2019 13:43

Whut?

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 30/03/2019 13:57

Thank you for explaining Nurseornot

Yabbers · 30/03/2019 13:58

Umm, is it? Confused

elQuintoConyo · 30/03/2019 19:12

Ballymotedun · 06/07/2019 10:27
