I am not a corbynista, in fact I would consider myself borderline tory, more a lib demmer.

I understand people have different political opinions, and that’s ok.

However, what I don’t understand, is how entire constituencies can vote for complete baffoons. (read; twats)

How can so many people think someone such as Philip Davies, Esther Mcvey, David DaviEs are good choices.

I don’t understand, how as women peoole are willing to elect such people with archaizing views. They are rabdily homophobic too.

When people vote do they only vote for the party, and not consider the individual who will be their MP?

Alot of people haven’t got a clue what they are doing when they are voting. A lot just vote as their parents did. Particularly in the North of England

I’m completely disenfranchised and have been for most of my adult life by living in the safest two Tory seats in the country. I envy people whose vote makes a difference.

Pure bigotry - unless of course you have any facts.....which you fucking don't.

@alsohuman - I have had a similar experience much of my life. Then electoral system in this country sucks.

You, madam, are a bigoted arsehole.

I'm in NI - here a lot of people vote strategically, eg someone will vote for the DUP because they see it as one less vote for Sinn Fein and vice versa. Most people here prefer the policies of the Alliance Party etc but will not vote for them on the day of elections because they see it as a lost vote. Hence why we are stuck with this current bunch of muppets - a combination of religious zealots and fantasists. There is not one of them who represents anything that I "believe" in.

@OP. Your point is correct, for the reasons already discussed, but I think there is a difference between having old fashioned views and being a terrible MP.

Phillip Davies is awful. Many Tories would rather not have him.

David Davies is wrong on almost every issue, but many others have the same views. He does more for women's rights than most left wing MPs who talk the talk.
