Model Agency Scam?

Hi does anyone have experience of 'Nexgen' talent? My 13 year old daughter has unfortunately sent her picture to them, they say she has been shortlisted & want to meet her for a models makeover! Apparently 50quid up front would secure an appointment. I'm sure its dodgey - but she thinks i'm being overprotective. Bless her. Have others come across what seems like an obvious scam to me? Thanks.

I know that you posted this over a year ago but I wanted to ask what actually ended up happening as my daughter has been asked to submit a self tape to them.

Its dodgy if they are asking for money. Don't let her send her pic to weirdo scammers.

No agency asks you to pay for things, if they put you on the books you give them a cut from your earnings

Yep dodgy. Nowhere legit will ask you for any money. Don't even be conned by those who require you to pay for some kind of portfolio or look book either.

In the past your women have been raped and forced to film porn at ‘model agency’ interviews. Tell her that and do not let her go.

Dodgy. I also modelled when I was younger and reputable agencies do not ask for money up front (they do however screw you over in lots of other ways!)

I’ve been contacted also. I smell a rat
