School run

I hate the school run.

I work from home so I go in tracksuits, gym gear, work gear if I need to be in the office.

My mum also does 50%of the school runs for me.

Firstly they ignored me. Talked to one of them once when she had to as no one else there who was shocked I worked full time.
Couple then talked to me mostly around what do I do for work.

Now they ignore me again.

They all stand chatting and blank me.

I hate it.
The playground feeling of being left out.

I'm not imagining it. They blank me at parties for the kids.

Just fed up really. Fed up it bothers me.

I hate the school run, most of the mums in dds class are okay, it the new parents to reception kids that wind me up. I generally keep to myself, don’t really talk to anyone only a few select mums who I’ve known outside of school and even then it’s sparse, luckily dont have to do DS school run for the last year as he’s met me half way. The parents from his year used to be right gossips. I generally despise it. DS goes to high school this year and dd only has 5 years left so just gotta hold on 😂

@Vulpine

No relevance I'm trying to create
A picture that's all of what it's like when I go to drop off/pick up that's all.

They know my mum. Totally friendly to her.

Same! There are some mums that will turn their backs to you if you try to talk to them. Women can be so bitchy and clique it's unbelievable.
The only time they speak is when they want you to do something for them.

The above messages aren't my experience at all. I enjoy the school run. I chat to people who have become friends, and smile at people I recognise faces of.
