AIBU to wonder what DS is doing with cigarette lighters?

So of course he is probably smoking BUT I can never smell smoke on either him or his clothes and he has literally loads of lighters - in every pocket, bag etc.

He is being quite challenging at the moment and finds it very easy to fob me off with a lie.

When I ask him he tells me all his friends smoke and that's why he has lighters. Not especially convincing but what am i missing? What is he doing with them??

Cigarettes, weed, arson, sterilising the blade like you said. And a small possibility just carrying one as everyone else smoked, i did when i was younger and had a little collection then i started smoking 🙄

Burning himself?

I don't think its weed. Roll ups don't smell a fraction of the amount packet cigarettes do. I never smelt it on my son, I knew he was smoking though. Weed on the other hand.... it clings to everything, he walks through the house and I cant miss it. And the smell doesn't go without opening windows, spraying air fresheners etc.

I smoked like a chimney as a teenager and when a friend's mum dobbed me in about it, my mum swore that it couldn't have been me because she would smell smoke on me. Apparently not!

DS smoked weed all through college until he gave it up three months before he took his A levels. He used to stay out until he was less stoned and didn’t smell any more.

I had no idea - I would never had known if he hadn’t chosen to tell me (after he’d done his A levels).
