To be fed up with always looking red and shiny?

I have sensitive skin and after spending years being a beauty junky I stripped down my routine to Liz Earle cleanser with the light moisturiser, followed by Bareminerals mineral foundation.

However I’ve noticed I’m still looking red and shiny. I stopped using cream foundations and concealers as I found them too heavy. I tend to get hot during the day and I prefer something with a lighter texture.

Can anyone recommend something to cover redness that mattifies and stops me looking oily?

I hear you!

I have rosacea but also oily skin.

My skin is a lot better when I don’t use moisturiser at all, sorry to commit such a skincare sin but honestly it’s true!

I use La Roche Posay Rosaliac cleaner, Skinceuticals phloretin CF serum (very expensive but I economise in other areas... there are many cheaper vit C serums around too!) and a mineral foundation powder from Everyday Minerals (the matte version Wink). And boots no 7 compressed powder to keep the shine under control as and when.

Waves Grin I'm ruddy of face cheek too OP, and use The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc potion to help calm the fires within.
I use Boots No7 airbrush foundation, and L'Oréal 'Matte maker' powder to keep the shinys at bay.
Green colour corrector stuff can help counteract the red, but I don't have the time/inclination to do that. Wink

Bareminerals foundation powder might be an option for mattifying and absorbing oil, but I don't have 1st hand experience of it.

Good make up primer with perhaps green corrector in it?

Get rid of the cleanser it's got irritants in it. Try using really stripped back stuff like LRP Tolereine and pp over to Style and Beauty for some advice....
