AIBU to think there are soooo many posters with useless partners?

Why do you stay with them?? Time and time again I hear, he doesn’t help around the house, pesters me for sex, is controlling, absuive, lazy, mean to the kids etc etc. why are they so useless and my biggest question, why on earth did you choose to marry them???

I posted on AIBU and long story short queried if it was OK (as I an not currently working) that I did all of the housework while my OH did pretty much nothing at home. I just mean something very small to help like take a bin out or wash up ocassionally after dinner. Quite a few people said I shouldn't really expect him to do anything and I was being unreasonable.

So I guess it depends what we class as "useless" and what our tolerance threshold is and this varies from one person to another?

PS. I left a very abusive marriage and, if I'm being totally honest, do have regrets about leaving. Sad as it is I suffered as a result and continue to do so.
