To think that I can drive to London?

I’m a bit of a country bumpkin and live a pretty quiet life. Perfectly fine driving around here and up and down the M1.
I have 2 events I need to go to - ironically, a wedding and a funeral. Both in Surrey, one in Wimbledon and one in Epsom. I’ve thought about the train, but especially for the wedding, I think it would be a bit impossible to arrive fresh and pressed, having crossed London and done the tube, taxi from tube station, etc. I’m happy to stay overnight if necessary.
I just don’t know if I can drive in London! I don’t really know what I’m asking because clearly you don’t either! But if you do...is it ok? Is everyone impatient? Is it straightforward?
Yours pathetically...

I got married at Morden Hall, where the Register Office is, 25 years ago. There was a gravel car park then. Yes, it’s all about me Grin. I drove there.

Morden hall makes the drive much easier as it’s before the drive gets complicated (got married there and then had my reception funnily enough in Epsom). The premier inn is far away it’s the travel lodge that close. There is definitely a huge car park from memory

Where is the reception being held though?

Nonetheless it’s not been twatty at all. I live at the halfway point of Epsom and Morden Hall and it’s nothing like central London at all. There should be no congestion charge or tolls and the roads are like any other A toads

Such twatty comments about the places not being London. Hope the posters feel good about themselves

I don’t see any twatty comments - I think people are trying to reassure the OP that the driving isn’t difficult. ( Wimbledon is in Greater London and Epsom is Surrey but London borders).

They're not twatty comments. People are trying to reassure the OP that the places she's talking about will be no more difficult to drive in than Leicester, and that it's not like driving in Central London
