Why do men need to take a device to the bathroom?!

Is it just my oh who can't possibly go for a crap without taking his iPad with him?! I'm led to believe this is a 'man thing' and many of my friends partners need some sort of entertainment while on the loo. For me it's a get in and out ASAP scenario not an opportunity for relaxation.

He can be in there for ages! Wonder what he's looking it Hmm anyone else?

Whatever happens I'd recommend antibacterial handwashes to hand. For everyone Smile.

This really will out me to anyone who knows me but an old bishop of mine recommended to the entire chapel that we read the scriptures while on the loo in the morning! There were a few prudish "no, not me. I would never take anything into the bathroom" types but most took it and ran with it! I know one family who has a special bathroom set!!!

It definitely isn't just a man thing though. My dad does it, I do it but my husband doesn't. To my mind it's a way of multitasking! ;)

I take mine with Me. Not to be too personal, but I'm on medication that makes going to the loo difficult. Or it feels like I need to go and it takes a while. I've spoken to the pharmacist and been given some medication to help, which is usually alright, but sometimes it has a limited success

dp always takes his phone with him. He spends (what seems like) hours in there playing candy crush. He'll occasionally take the newspaper up with him.

dd takes her phone in and spends also ages, generally on Snapchat or Instagram.

I'm pretty old fashioned and stick to books.

I don't really understand the comment about wanting to rush out because of the smell. I don't think you notice the smells you create yourself at the time - although you do if you leave the bathroom, forget to spray air freshener and then go back in. It's other people's smells that always seem horrible.

I take my phone in with me. I don’t have the most regular - ahem - movements and it can take a while. I can relax more when I’m reading something Blush
