To want to see a clothing/fashion/beauty blogger who

Isnt full of cosmetic enhancements, always impossibly made up, and wearing outfits that would not last the day in a normal persons life.
Why do they have to project such impossibly perfect standards.

I would love to find some fashion or beauty bloggers who do "school run looks" or makeup from drugstores instead of 65quid eyeshadow.

If anyone knows any like this could you pop me a link or name.
Looking to revamp my wardrobe so looking for ideas, just getting quite annoyed at looking at what appears to be clones of the same woman over and over.

Normal women with attitudes to fashion/beauty as you describe either don't have time to blog like that, dont want to, or don't get 1000s of followers if they try. I've never heard of anyone, but keen to see if others have

Imacliche · 17/03/2019 07:11

Makes me sad that they wouldnt get followers etc because they don't fall in line with "beauty standards "
Im more likely to relate to someone and buy things via someone I can relate too.

Try Justine le Conte (sp?) on YouTube, she's a pretty much as you describe. I lufs her, she's lovely and very accessible.

I stumbled across this on IG and quite like their style. Two mums basically trawling the high street. www.instagram.com/find.fashionhomebeauty/

I have a fashion Instagram that I’m just starting (it’s not great so won’t share the name) but there definitely are people out there. Try searching the hashtag slowstyling or midsizestyle for some more relatable bloggers!

Imacliche · 17/03/2019 07:43

I was contemplating setting one up myself through lack of inspiration. But then quickly realised i dont even have time to go to the toilet in peace let alone run a blog 🤣

I follow acefacebeauty on IG/Youtube. She’s a black makeup artist, and find her tips work well for other skin tones too. Does a mixture of natural and dramatic looks, but I genuinely love that she’s a working mum (so gets that not all of us have an hour to spend in the morning!) and is pretty vocal about not using filters and maintaining realistic goals - and you’re right, there just don’t seem to be many of those about! 🤷‍♀️

Only recently started following her, so I’ll be watching this thread with interest to see if anyone else on here has any other suggestions!

I like teeclutter on Instagram.

according · 17/03/2019 07:48

Also Anna Cascarina.

A life to style
Susie SoSo

Are the only two I follow who are not gifted loads of stuff and who make high street purchases.

I also follow blossoming birds, all that's pretty, DMBL40, and a load of others but there a lot of gifted stuff.

GemmeFatale · 17/03/2019 07:57

Forever Amber

She’s not fashion focused, but maybe 50% fashion/style/beauty. She has a one year old and her outfit posts tend to reflect that.

Imacliche · 17/03/2019 07:57

Thanks for the suggestions. Was beginning to feel the odd one out for not having lip fillers, wearing insane amounts of highlighter, and wearing 6 inch heels daily.
Glad to see there are still relatable people out there!

There are LOADS of mum bloggers on Instagram like this! You probably won't get an entirely fashion focuses feed though as most mums have better thing to do that think about fashion and make up all day. I'll list a few I follow down below. Check their followers for more!

hayleylovedhighstreet

Thanks, I'll check some of those out.
I'm having a spell of feeling like I have no idea what I should be wearing or what looks good on me. At 38 I feel like I still want to dress young but not like a 20 something. I don't even know what shops are for me really.

PotatoScallop · 17/03/2019 08:14

I really like pampered wolf on YouTube and Insta. Lots of full face of drug store cosmetic tutorials.

For clothes, I love icurvy on Insta. Fun but relatable outfits.

BloominSloe · 17/03/2019 08:20

hayleyloveshighstreet it should be. Sorry I think it autocorrected!

Go to town on insta, there are hundreds of really relatable, normal mums on there!
