To ask the best time of year to go to Florida?

Just looking for experience of folk who have had family holidays in Orlando, more the Disney parks. What time of year is best to go price wise and also for when it’s not as busy? I know it will be mobbed most times but I’m thinking July/August will be worst? Thank you Smile

We always fly with Virgin.
Booked last April as part of a package but think flights were around £2300 for the 3 of us but that’s PE or Delight as they now call it

I've been in a few of the summer months, my favourite time was April just after Easter holidays. Weather was brilliant not too hot and easy to walk about without sweat dripping off you!

Also the crowds were really manageable and you can get some great late deals if you're prepared to hang off!

We've been twice in the Oct half-term and the weather was perfect, plus all the American schools are in session so it wasn't that busy either.

October was great. You also get fabulous US Halloween.

Isn't there some kind of footfall calendar? What's all this "research" people are saying you need to do?

We went last week of sept / first week October. Wasn't too busy at the parks and the temperature was nice - warm but not overwhelming

February and September are the quietest times. (No school holidays)
September is definitely the best as it's hot but not crazy hot, and the Halloween stuff is already in the parks.

September for us. Just not this September with Star wars opening at the end of August. Crowd calendars have gone from a 1-3 to 10!!!

We go to Florida every year in the Easter holidays. The weather is perfect, but the parks are very busy. We don't always go to Orlando, and if we do, we don't stay for very long, so don't mind putting up with it for a few days. Make good use of jet-lagged early mornings, crowd calendars and fast passes.

I used to live in Florida - my rule of thumb is no later than May, no earlier than end September. The weather is filthy.

Been in July - was v hot but just about manageable if you take it easy.
Also been in may from around the 15th for 2 weeks- this was a good time to go. I believe Easter is the busiest time and iirc we wouldn't have got our dining plan deal included.

We went at the start of October. It was lovely. Hot, but manageable. There was a hurricane in the middle of our trip that kept us under curfew for a day, but that was okay and we were lucky to have escaped the worst of that particular hurricane - it caused a lot of damage on its way up to Florida but the Orlando area escaped the worst.

I would go in October again if I could (Food & Wine was still on at Epcot); now, school holidays rule otherwise. I have heard April/May is nice. I also went in March many years ago and it was great, although it seemed to rain quite heavily for an hour most afternoons.
