To think this was disgustingly rude?!

In a queue at the bank when a woman walked to the front of the desk so I said excuse me there’s a queue.

She responded that she thought people were queuing for the cash machine and then started to leave and walked by me and said fuck you Hmm

“pushing in front of a queue and saying 'fuck you' when pulled up. Seems very mild to me.”

Jesus, where do you live?! As for your dinner party example being a good one for “disgustingly rude”, I think you probably have low expectations and different standards to most people. if someone behaved like that in my house I wouldn’t tell them they were disgustingly rude, I’d tell them they were a bloody animal and they were never to come near me again.

Cool your jets CurlyhairedAssassin

Of course it wasn't a great response. But I get so sick of OPs like thankunextex coming on here and complaining about a minor unpleasant interaction.

As I have said, I have made a genuine mistake in jumping in front of queue. I was pulled up about it ,in a rather passive-aggressive way, and though embarrassed to be accused of being a CF (God, everyone is so keen to claim that) but swallowed my mistake, rather than telling the person to fuck off. I think that is being the bigger person than coming on Mumsnet and whining about it.

OP dealt with it. It's over. It's certainly not worth pretending that it was a disgustingly rude episode.

If I'm not sure of the queuing situation, I ask the person in front. It's really easy, even for awkward old me. I just say 'is this the queue for...' and if they say 'yes' I join the end. That way I avoid jumping in by accident.

There is very little excuse for queue jumping.

And of course I don't think shitting in the shower is an acceptable form of behaviour CurlyhairedAssassin.

I was also making what is known where I live as a joke in response to OP's title which is a bit heightened for what I'd describe as an unpleasant encounter, but no harm done.

I can't help you if you don't get it.

Is it really a question? Shouldn't your title have been something along the lines of "I've been upset by a person's rudeness today".
