To ask if we are seriously supposed to give two flying fucks that “failing to deliver a Brexit might be devastating for the Conservative Party” - according to Jeremy Hunt

The entire shit show that we have had to endure over the last three years has largely, IMO, been down to the Tories’ desire to keep their Party together. Referendum included.

It’s obvious that Party comes before country for many of them including Theresa May, but when they have the effrontery (or honesty) of trying to say that Brexit has to happen or the Party will implode? Pass me the smallest violin you can find Angry.

I know. Brexit might now happen at all? It might kill the Tory party?

Oh no.... No... Please not that... Anything but that... Please... Hmm

Clavinova and Gregory

No one is arguing that the EU is perfect but is doesn't seem that leaving it will solve anything either. Our politicians are completely inept, our electoral system is unfit for purpose and it's clear that we need to focus on dealing with our own problems rather than obsessing about the EU.

Why the fuck did Cameron offer something he couldn’t deliver, it’s like me taking dh to look at Ferrari’s. I can’t buy one so why am I pretending I can?!?! We are too entrenched for it to be delivered, so why fucking offer it.

It’s all such an avoidable mess

LaurieMarlow · 11/03/2019 11:09

Why the fuck did Cameron offer something he couldn’t deliver

Because he’s an arrogant twonk and he thought remain would win.

twattymctwatterson · 11/03/2019 11:11

Win fucking win! I hope it smashes them to smitharines

To hear one of May’s ex-advisers, name escapes me, saying this morning on Today that if we could enter into some sort of EFTA arrangement, that would be enough to assuage the ERG and get her WA over the line was unbelievable. Truly thought I’d misheard him. So, after nearly 3 years of tearing the country apart, wasted billions and almost total collapse of faith and trust in politics, with complete f**kwits running the show, left and right, government and woeful opposition, they’re happy to settle for something that leaves us still accepting EU rules, making financial contributions and accepting free movement as conditions (None of which I have a problem with, I want to remain) whilst giving up our vote and veto? So, worse off than we were before? He perfectly illustrated Brexiteers over-inflated opinion of the UK’s importance and place in the world, which is diminishing by the day the longer this car crash drags on. Would you want us after this debacle if you were an existing member of EFTA? No chance, after our behaviour would expect them to run as fast in the opposite direction as they possibly could.
Take back control? Imbeciles doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Every move she’s making is to keep the ERG and the DUP sweet and her party together come what may, everything else is secondary. Shameful.

I think the torys have got themselves into a lose lose situation

I wish.

Who the fuck other than a Sir Bufton fucking Tufton would vote Tory?

JRMisOdious · 11/03/2019 11:39

People who are even more terrified of Corbyn and Momentum.

SaveKevin · 11/03/2019 11:45

*Why the fuck did Cameron offer something he couldn’t deliver

Because he’s an arrogant twonk and he thought remain would win.*

Every poll in the run up showed it would be close, yet some how they didn’t expect it, they didn’t campaign properly as they didn’t expect yet. Yet the polls said otherwise. The whole thing was a shower of shit.

Tiniest violin Hunt. Tiniest violon.

What positive change have the Tories successfully managed in 9 years? I seriously can't think of a single thing. I probably could if I was exceedingly rich and benefiting from some financial changes but for an average person I can't think of anything.

Jam82 · 11/03/2019 11:50

Wait, there’s a chance of Brexit not going ahead and the Tory party being wiped out at the same time? Is it my birthday?!😁

Songsofexperience · 11/03/2019 11:50

Things I care about:
Fighting crime
The NHS
Education
My job and DH's job

The Tories? 🤣🤣🤣🤣😋

Theworldisfullofgs · 11/03/2019 20:29

AutumnCrow · 11/03/2019 20:34

Jeremy Hunt is, apparently, not a stupid man. But Tory politics has infected him with The Stupid.

JRMisOdious · 11/03/2019 20:51

AutumnCrow

Unlike Gavin Williamson, who is (not so fondly) referred to as Private Pike around Westminster 😂

Pk37 · 11/03/2019 20:53

If it meant Labour would be in then I’d do everything possible to support the Tories and that’s saying something

JRMisOdious · 11/03/2019 21:06

That’s the problem isn’t it, pk37. So many people who just feel they have nowhere credible to turn.
