Boyfriends fishy smell (maybe TMI!)

Possible TMI, sorry!

I can't remember how long this has been ongoing for.
When DP gets hard, I always get hit with this fishy smell. I've never, ever heard about this in males before but it's prominent when he has an erection.
He says he washes it multiple times a day. His hygiene is otherwise good.
It actually puts me off any sort of intimacy with him at the minute as although it's not a strong smell, it's still there and it's still offputting.
Every time I so much as think about bringing it up with him, I don't because I just feel awkward and cringe for him (and me!)

Any advice at all? Tried Googling to see what on earth could cause it but got a multitude of answers!!!

My husband smells different when he's aroused. Is it definitely his willy or him in general. Isnt it pheromones or something? Normally we partner with people we like the smell of whenaroused but im not too keen on my partners!!
