To ask how to be organised!?

Expecting DC soon and I really want to start arranging his clothes etc soon as there's a high chance I will be induced.

I've washed all his clothes and have a chest of 4 drawers where I want to store all his stuff but I just don't know where to begin!

Can anyone share their tips of how they organised before DC arrived? He has so many clothes in different sizes that I just don't know how to do it..

Top drawer - vests, bodysuits, socks, scratch mits and hats in newborn size that you'll use first.

Bottom drawer - all bigger clothes he won't fit just yet.

Middle drawers - cardigans/outfits.

i washed all of ds's clothes and i knew beofre i had him (he was measuring a big boy ended up being 10lbs 13ozs) that 0-3months were useless. just seperate them into age groups.

when they are new borns everything is vests and sleepsuits for the first while. dont worry about fancy outfits and jeans etc ... just sleepsuits and vests.

It was a long time ago for me but if I recall correctly I had a drawer of babygros, one of vests another for tops and trousers and I hung dresses skirts and gro bags. I also had a drawer of nappies, covers and liners but I used reusables. If you have unseasonable things or those which will be way too big, just box up ready.
When mine was born I actually only had babygros and vests as that was all I intended to put her in but they were all too big and then h had to do a dash for tiny sizes!

also had the likes of a basket of saline solution spray, thermometer, sudocrem or bepanthem, mittens or nails scissors etc to hand.

Vests and sleepsuits in size order (keep the bigger ones in plastic storage boxes/lower down drawers, according to size, and labelled, if you have the space) and don't worry about clothes for the first year wee while. When baby moves up a size, pack up the little sizes for another/giving away, and unpack the next size up.
Repeat until they leave home

I put all the stuff that wasn't the current size somewhere else. It doesn't need to be in his drawers. Just make sure it's all washed and sorted into different sizes wherever you keep it and when he's done with one size just move the next size up into his drawers. It's much easier to sort stuff when thmm there's not too much of it

Also those drawer separator things are good for little things like mits and socks

Also want to ask, how many outfits did you take into hospital for baby?

I knew i would be in a few days so took 4 babygros and similar no of vests with view to h swapping dirty and bringing back clean if needed.
