My friends partner slept walked the other night... Cut up 10 apples into slices fed them to the dog and thrown them in the living room! Also poured blackcurrant juice into the dogs water bowls..

What sleep walking stories do you have?

Have let myself out of various flats and homes. Have been founding pounding on the window in the kitchen whilst kneeling on the countertop. Have held conversations (albeit about random things). Have panicked that I have lost something / someone.

Usually when someone starts talking to me that sends me back to bed although still asleep.

I’ve always been a sleep walker. As I child my mum knew if I was wondering to take me to the toilet. At university I never slept naked as I would wonder around the house. I do it more when I’m stressed or over tired, particularly between night shifts.

Best one was locking myself in our bathroom with the quilt, leaving DH very cold and confused then annoyed because he couldn’t workout how to unlock the bathroom door from the outside!

My son when he was about 6 slept walked quite regularly. One particular evening DH & I were in the lounge both of our children asleep in their bedrooms. We when heard water gushing, we thought burst pipe? Rushed into the hall to see DS was standing on the landing having a wee, that was landing on the coats hanging on the bannister rail. Made a hell of a noise.

DH also sleep walks he usually opens the bedroom curtains and stares out of the window, really creepy! But no weeing thank goodness! 😂

I used to sleepwalk as a child, aged 7-9 was the prime time but mostly when I was yr3 age at school. I had a very frightening teacher for part of that year and I was exceptionally unhappy and anxious all the time. I'd come down to the living room, sit with my parents until they went to bed, they'd take me to the loo and put me back to bed. They'd ask me questions "shall we go to the bathroom" etc and I'd reply. I have no memory of this! It eased up when the scary teacher left and I did it a few more times when something really upset me and stopped completely at 9/10.

I still apparently occasionally sleeptalk although that seems to be when I'm too relaxed rather than stressed! I think it's quite common; two exes both did it occasionally- I think we had conversations Grin but who knows! DP used to sleepwalk as child too and has no memory of it or being put back to bed, including when he fell down stairs. He now grinds his teeth. It sounds like he's nibbling apples all night!

When I was about 10 my Dad was working late. He came home and made himself a sandwich. Apparently I came downstairs, had quite a lucid conversation and a bite of his sandwich; then went back up to bed. No recollection the next day. The other (and hopefully the last)time, we had just come back from self-catering abroad. I dreamed I was leaving the apartment, and woke to find myself outside the front door. Had an awful job waking my husband to let me back in.
