Just that really. I have 3 primary aged DSs and a computer game addicted DH. It’s constant apart from during the week when they watch YouTube videos of people playing games. I feel exhausted from it and as a non gamer it makes me feel lonely and left out. I didn’t have a family to be sat watching my kids play on the PlayStation all the time! Can anyone tell me what their routine at the weekend is please. For example, it’s friday night, if you’ve got primary aged boys, what are they doing right now?

I do understand, my son has Asperger’s and adores computers, but as a family it is nice to do things together and you can definitely start a new routine of at least one weekend night something else. Film night with popcorn? My children all adore playing dungeons and dragons each weekend - that’s just paper, dice and imagination and last time we played it ended up being 4 hours long and lots and lots of laughter. They also like card-game evenings. Don’t put up with any bad attitude, they’ll soon accept a different routine. Oh, and discuss it with your husband - as a positive family connection.

Op what would you like to do during the weekend instead of them gaming?

It's not unreasonable to want them to be off it all weekend however what is the alternative entertainment?

Could you unban it during the week, allowing a small amount of gaming in moderation, and then reduce the amount at the weekends, to give you some game free time?

If everyone else is at home can you leave the kids with DH and start going to a class or something on Saturday or Sunday so you don't feel like you're wasting your weekend?

How old are your DC?

I don't think YABU. What about trying something like geocaching? To get you all out, or theres something called Spy Trails which are available to print out for different towns / cities.
