My 9 yo DD was asking me for stories from when she was a baby. I remembered the time she had hiccups aged around 7 months. I knew making someone jump should clear them so without thinking turned to her and shouted “boo!”. Scared the crap out of her and she still had hiccups. To make it worse I realised that she would have no idea why I did it and started laughing uncontrollably. I think she’s now over it Grinwhat daft shit have you done to your babies without thinking?

When DS1 was about 4 weeks old I had an opticians appointment and when I left I couldn't work out what was missing, I'd left him in the opticians,. Luckily it was only a couple of minutes.

I tell my DS he is so sweet/ I love him soon much that I'm gonna eat him up then in a very exaggerated manner chomp away at his little arm lol he apparently done this at nursery to a little girl and bit her arm... I had to explain to the angry parent that it's my son's way of showing love Blush

Not baby but when potty training we used to say:

We’re going on a poo hunt,
We’re going to do a big one,
It’s a beautiful day,
We’re not scared.

I called DS by my DH’s name at a new playgroup. I hoped no one had heard but of course the leader did and started calling him by that name. I didn’t correct her as I was too Blush. I hoped she wouldn’t remember the following week. She did. We stopped going.

@JenMumma For some reason I thought that he needed to be surprised and wouldn't react if I hadn't relaxed myself first Confused

I've just remembered with DC1 DH went to pick him up in the night to cuddle him and couldn't work out why it felt wrong or why DC1 was making an odd noise. He had picked him up around the tops of the legs instead of under the arms and DC1 was being held upside down.

When dc1 was a newborn I used to like putting her bibs on backwards so that she had a cape... like a SUPERBABY!
