'Feet to foot' is the currently approved method of putting your child down to sleep. Baby should be on their back, with their feet near tot he foot of the cot/crib/moses basket so that they cannot shuffle down under the blankets and suffocate themselves.

MrsThierryHenry, my MIL doesn't know about feet to foot, as it wasn't normal practice when they were raising children. So that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Dd's grandpa would feed her all manner of crap if MIL would let him. She is very good at keeping FIL in line....it's not an easy task, love him!
