to send DD to nursery?

Would I be being unreasonable to send DD 3 into nursery whilst she's slightly off side? for the past two days she's just chilled on the couch she isn't in pain with anything particular she just has a little bit of a temp and doesn't seem her usual self... I have to go into work so I can't really keep her off and she loves nursery! I just feel so horrible to send her in whilst she's a little off side 😞😞

What do you mean by offside? Unwell?

I think you would be U to send her in if she still has a temperature.

TabbyMumz · 04/03/2019 15:06

She will probably be fine by morning. Check her temp before you take her.

JessieMcJessie · 04/03/2019 15:07

“Off side”? Perhaps you’re not a native English speaker?

Of course send her in, she’s fine. If she is unwell they’ll call you.

ButtMuncher · 04/03/2019 15:09

Personally, if they've got a temp and are not 100% themselves - no, you shouldn't send them in. My DS can run a temp and be absolutely himself, but I know if he's not acting himself he's clearly feeling under the weather.

Work will survive without you, give your DD the time she needs. Work used to be my priority, it’s now my children. You only get one chance, please don’t live in guilt as I have done when I put children into nursery at 3 months

Isadora2007 · 04/03/2019 15:11

You would be a little unreasonable- she clearly isn’t feeling well if she has barely moved off the sofa for days. And you’re risking her passing on whatever she has to her other nursery friends. Isn’t there someone who can sit with her at home while you work?

Stompythedinosaur · 04/03/2019 15:15

I tend to send my dc in with cold symptoms, but I'd keep them off if they had a temperature.

JessieMcJessie · 04/03/2019 15:17

Isadora2007 perhaps she is now recovered, having rested on the sofa for a few days?

And fuzzyheadache there is absolutely no comparison between guilt felt at putting a 3 month old baby into regular nursery (not that I agree one should automatically feel guilty about that) and sending a 3 year old in to nursery one day when she’s a bit off colour! Completely different dilemmas, talk about projecting!
