She also does some towie/love island people. But I'm wondering whether they all ask to look so....... specific..... or whether the doctor just decided that.would be a good look.....

Agree with PPs, I am astonished that she felt she needed work in the first place, and stunned that she thinks she looks better after than before.

notanothernam · 03/03/2019 16:32

She looks so puffy, I swear this treatment actually ages women now, it screams "I'm older and trying to hide it" then they all morph into one similar puffy mess.

DointItForTheKids · 03/03/2019 16:39

You're going on what she looks like?!!!!

Is she clinically trained? An experienced clinician in another area, for many years already (eg like the lady I've used who has been a senior midwife for many years)?

Does she attend faculty days to improve and develop her practice in facial aesthetics including those from the providers of the products such as for example, Allergan?

Does she regularly attend practitioner programmes, training and updates to keep herself up to date and aware of changes in any associated regulation/products/procedure best practice?

Does she do a full 30 minute consultation before agreeing to do any work?

Those are the questions you should be asking really; I can't see how what she looks like is at all relevant to your assessment of whether she's the right aesthetician for you or not.

Are you looking for a particular part of the UK to receive treatment? (I'm not an aesthetician btw!!!).

Fraxion · 03/03/2019 16:40

I thought the first pic was the after.

eastwestnorth · 03/03/2019 16:42

OP, you're now saying the first photo is before? Surely not?

This craze for the over filled lips reminds me of my Labrador's very lava when she is in heat!

Very lava?? 🤣🤣🤣 VULVA!!

artemisdubois · 03/03/2019 16:52

The first photo is 100% most definitely the 'after' one. That's what she looks like on her recent instagram photos.

eco1636 · 03/03/2019 17:22

DointItForTheKids I'm going on what her clients look like.

I saw the practitioner in tatler and she reads so well. Then saw clients and thought..... hmmm

Sophie Anderton hasn’t looked like the ‘before picture for about 20 years. It’s not just Botox and fillers that have contributed to how different she looks now...

Fraxion · 03/03/2019 17:38

That black dress photo is from 2014.

DointItForTheKids · 03/03/2019 17:40

But OP, what they look like is only part of the story.

You need to know their expertise and experience as medical clinicians. Plus, looking at what she's done for others is barmy - they could have been to umpteen different clinics not just her and you don't know what fillers or what techniques or what frequency so you are TOTALLY on the wrong track here with your assessment methodology.

Anyway, it's obviously very much entirely up to you, I just know that someone who wasn't a clinician with proper medical knowledge of anatomy, where nerves are positioned, how to give nerve blocks properly for certain treatments, and who could evidence that they were up to date would be far more the barometers of whether you should use that person or not.

Agree. I have seen many women (in the media/famous/infamous!) start to have botox and fillers at around 27-28 y.o. and by the time they're 33-35 y.o. they look 40. One prime example is Katie Price, but there are a number of others.

I see many women of around 28-30 (who have had nothing done) who look 22-23 on a good day. Women of a similar age who have shit done to their face, look 10 years older than their peers (who have had nothing done,) within 2 or 3 years. Amazes me that they do it to stay young, and yet it does exactly the opposite!

When slightly older women have it done (40+) they very rarely look younger. They just look a bit odd. Eg, a 48 y.o.woman having botox and fillers doesn't suddenly look 35, she just looks like a 48 y.o. woman who has had botox and fillers!

What you doing peering at your Labrador's vulva you mucky pup?! 🤣🤣😂

eco1636 · 03/03/2019 19:36

I think botox can look fine and I have been doing it for a few years to prevent myself from frowning between my eyebrows.
Filler does tend to look unnatural. But perhaps people do it once and it looks good, then go overboard and end up with a balloon face (e.g. Carole vordeman)
