Should children really be involved with this?

Just whatching morning tv, they are discussing a public naked swim session at a Blackpool swimming pool this weekend.
Fair enough if that’s what floats your boat and I have no problem with nudity etc.
BUT, this is a ‘family’ naked swim, children, babies AND adults together.
Is it a good idea to have children swimming naked amongst naked adult strangers??

I think it’s sad that naked bodies are so fetishised that people can’t go about naked without the risk of attracting predators but it is what it is. I definitely wouldn’t take my children.

I don't get why people would, rightly, be horrified if a stranger exposed themselves to children at a random time, say in the park, but at an organised event it's fine? It's not about being prudish, children have the right to privacy where body parts are concerned and parents shouldn't be overriding that for the sake of being 'liberal' about nakedness. (Obviously there are close family exceptions, am not saying breastfeeding is wrong or that you can avoid your own child seeing you straight out of the shower etc!)

No issue for me, as a child my parents would dress me in my swimsuit at the beach and i just ran away and took it off ( many family photos of me laughing my head off pulling it along behind me) I see nothing unhealthy with this at all, though I do see problems with children being around too many people wearing designer sportswear.

the lack of choice is unhealthy, believing what you felt is the norm is wrong. You should be able to understand that not everyone is the same, and some children do not like stripping of.

I wouldn't take my DC. It is a safe guarding issue every time parents allow this IMO. It's ridiculous that these people think they are better at spotting paedophiles than people who wear clothes. Would they have picked out Jon Venebles and Robert Thompson too. How dangerous could two 10 year olds be. Hmm

Wonder how comfortable the lifeguard that the pool has to provide will feel.

I always wonder how much table tennis etc these people do normally - they always seem to do it when they're naked yet I hardly ever hear about anyone playing it fully clothed.
