Thin thighs

Anyone else envy Kaia Gerber's thighs? Daily Rail acting all disgusted over 'shocking' pics.

You're being willfully naive in my opinion

No I'm not. I'm looking down at my own stick-thin thighs and recalling all the shitty comments I've had in the past. Some people are just thin, regardless of how much they eat. Body shaming is not OK.

HoppityFrog3 · 28/02/2019 18:40

I don't envy anyone as I am quite happy with how I look, and my own lovely firm, curvy thighs.

She IS gorgeous though. Beautiful! Grin And yeah, very slender.

Probably that slender because she is only 17. Nothing wrong with being very slim. I don't like body-shaming, whether it's attacking bigger people OR smaller. As has been said, 'thin-shaming' is as bad as 'fat-shaming,'

But hold on @Klopptimist, aren't fat thighs critiqued explicitly and implicitly day in day out. We live in a world where being slender is held up as the ideal. While your argument has a point (it is body shaming) you cannot compare a group of women rebelling against the norm of desiring thin thighs with the fat-phobia that society tolerates daily.

sighrollseyes · 28/02/2019 18:42

Urgh she's unhealthy that's no a look to aspire to! No wonder our teens of today are so messed up in the head about their body image!

AgentJohnson · 28/02/2019 18:43

Err no, I’m 40 plus and she’s a teen whose mother was a supermodel. I had those hips at 17 too.

Dreamzcancometrue · 28/02/2019 18:45

What a weird thread.

MargotLovedTom1 · 28/02/2019 18:46

I'd rather have her mother's thighs if I had to choose.

DippyAvocado · 28/02/2019 18:56

Thin thighs are not really compatible with the trend for a curvy bum. I have very slim thighs, but no bum whatsoever. You can't have everything.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 28/02/2019 19:45

Sure, there is a tiny minority who naturally are extremely thin. A tiny minority. So why is this held up as the ideal for all women? A lot of catwalk models starve themselves, do eat tissue paper and shit themselves before walking the runway because they abuse laxatives.

This is an underweight 17 year old, basically a child, with an underweight child's body and a grown woman has started a thread wishing she had her thighs. It's crazy that women see this as aspirational.

Yes my first comment was flippant but seriously? Holding up this body as an example of what women should look like is toxic and dangerous.

mamaslave18 · 28/02/2019 19:48

She is 17, that is why she is that thin. Her own mother has said she won’t have that body type as she gets older.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 28/02/2019 20:03

I've never heard of her but looking at the photos she is stunning and certainly outshines her mother, in my eyes anyway.

I guess she's very tall which will make her look leaner on camera. I can't see her figure staying like that as she matures. I was a leggy teen until 19 before I started to get curves.

Unfinishedkitchen · 28/02/2019 20:09

Meh, I’d much rather have her mothers current body.

She’s always had a great body, curvy, strong and athletic.

@Klopptimist

Thanks for taking my comments out of context there.

The OP has asked for an opinion. I gave it. My own personal opinion.

Now, if I started the thread saying "Skinny thighs are not attractive when they're thin" then yes, I would totally get your point.

But as someone asked, and as I said 'to me meaning ' to me it's not attractive' as in my own personal opinion and taste, I disagree with you admonishing me saying I was body shaming.

Everyone comes in different shapes and sizes. I know what I personally like and don't like. There is nothing wrong with that.

Newadventure · 28/02/2019 21:16

Wow they're so long! 😱

They'd look pretty weird attached to my body but they suit her, she is only 17 so will fill out more as she ages no doubt.

PouchofDouglas · 28/02/2019 21:18

I’ve got thin long legs. They’re ace. They’re just genetic.
I do spin etc but it doesn’t really affect your basic shape

Kedgeree · 28/02/2019 21:25

Cindy is still traffic-stoppingly beautiful in her late forties. Her daughter lucked out with the genes, the contacts, the money and all that comes with it. Her mother knows the business inside out so I'm sure Kaia will be ok.

SurgeHopper · 28/02/2019 21:28

I'd love thinner thighs.

countdowntonap · 28/02/2019 21:29

She and her mum are both very beautiful. I love the long, lean elegant look.

Thin thighs
SurgeHopper · 28/02/2019 21:30

She is ridiculously beautiful. And rich. And privileged. Etc etc

MrsPinkCock · 28/02/2019 21:30

I had a similar figure until I was mid 20s.

Now I’m mid 30s, still slim (objectively), do cardio and lift weights, watch what I eat never had to do that until I hit 30 and can confirm skinny thighs will never happen again for me!

It would be almost impossible for someone my age or older to look like a 17 year old. Bodies change with age, that’s all there is to it.

But she is stunning.

YeOldeTrout · 28/02/2019 21:33

KG is a darling of the pro-annies. Grim.

It's her bony chest not the legs that frighten me.

Sneakyisbest · 28/02/2019 21:42

The phrase "couldn't stop a pig in an alley" comes to mind.

Why do these girls do this to themselves. She has a pretty face but her body looks awful, her chest has all the bones showing. That is not healthy. So no I am not envious.

BusySittingDown · 28/02/2019 21:42

I don't envy her thighs mine are probably thinner Blush but I do envy her face. She's beautiful! She's the image of her mum.

Sparklesocks · 01/03/2019 00:53

She’s only a teen, teens have different bodies to fully grown women.

dogsdinnerlady · 01/03/2019 07:58

My point is that while top designers use these super-thin girls as models I guess we are supposed to aspire to wearing their designs and looking like their models. They are wanting us to buy the whole image - those clothes look their best on stick-thin models.
