Surely Mrs Cooper despite trying to look absolutely thrilled about it at the oscars can't be happy. Even if it's all for media attention it just seems so disrespectful to her.

We are all aware that acting is a thing where you pretend stuff. And that actors (and other performers) doing public performances at public events are almost certainly Doing Acting. Yes?

The whole (social) media ‘they’re in love/having an affair’ thing is probably the most annoying bit of it for her.

Tbh, I’d really hate it if my partner were an actor. Even knowing it’s Acting (and their job), I wouldn’t want to watch him kissing actresses and pretending to have sex with them. But if he were an actor, I’d have to accept that this sort of thing is what he does for a living and get over it.

They are gushing about each other and acting all lovey dicey becasue it creates buzz, more people watching the film and more likely to win awards etc. They probably won’t ever see each other again after this round of awards ceremonies is finished!!

Exactly. The awards circuit is a big deal to Hollywood stars. They will likely have hired people exclusively to boost their imagine and increase their chances of winning. Their behaviour is deliberate.

Well if Irina is a beard she won't be too bothered, and if they have a proper relationship she can bang the gorgeous Bradley whenever she wants. I doubt she needs anyone's sympathy.

That Suki Waterhouse has forged a ‘career’ out of being a professional beard. I’d love to know what they get paid. It enhances their modelling and advertising prospects nicely, most wouldn’t have advanced beyond catalogue modelling without the beard work.

This thread in in exceptionally poor taste, based upon the tittle tattle in gossip columns no doubt. I'm astounded at how much people can be in to all this stuff, as if it's 1. real and 2. something that matters.

I've read a few blind gossip articles (obligatory could-be-bullshit caveat) on them getting on each other's tits and looking out of their supposed arrangement, so this would make a lot of sense. Especially since there's a child involved, it reads better if there's a "reason" for the split, i.e., friction over another woman. Especially handy if the rumours about BC are true.

Didn't know Irina was with Ronaldo too- there's always been gossip about him being closeted as well. Would be a bit sad if she'd spent that much of her adult life in "arrangements" like those hinted at.

I watched their performance on stage and they seemed very close.. .too close for comfort in my eyes,and if it was me I sure wouldn't like it,and I'm sure if the boot was on the other foot he wouldn't like it either!

I don't know....it felt more than acting.just a feeling maybe I'm wrong but will watch with interest.

I thought it was just acting for a performance until I saw the pics of them at the after party, they seem quite mesmerized with each other and I did feel a bit for Irina sitting in the background looking on.

Little off-topic but Bradley Cooper has slowly begun a metamorphosis into Barry Manilow and I love it.

Why on earth would a huge name like BC need to use a beard in the year 2019? Be more Manilow, that's what I think.

I've only just watched the video of them singing and know nothing about the background. But... I sing professionally and recently gave a concert of duets with a close male friend. It is an incredibly bonding experience and I felt very close to him in those moments, particularly at the dramatic endings of the songs, but it's very different from being attracted to someone in real life. My DH did not feel threatened!

It's like gay footballers, you think 'just come out, we're all enlightened now' and then you remember what football crowds can be like. Agents and managers probably tell gay actors that coming out will kill their career stone dead, because Chuck and Becky in Ohio won't buy him as a romantic lead anymore. I think that's one of the saddest things ever. If people wouldn't watch a film because the lead actor is gay, they don't deserve to watch movies ever again.
