about 'morning glory'

Do other have this where OH is quite 'fruity' first thing in the morning and it is like the worst time? I struggle with this, need to get up with the DCs and just fancy a cuppa really not a romp! But I guess it is just nature that they feel like it first thing in the mornings. Is it a men are from mars women from venus thing, I usually feel more sexual in the evenings and in the mood, not first thing in the morning. Or AIBU?

I like morning sex in that I’m quite sleepy and relaxed, but I have to get up and ‘freshen up’ a bit down there and brush my teeth etc. Morning breath is absolutely rank!

There is not time on work days but on non work days, morning sex is lovely. Always a coffee and a shower first though, I want to taste nice!

I like pre lunch sex too, but not so much at night. Night time bed is usually for sleep.

It's not morning sex to me if you get up, hve a shower, clean your teeth, get some breakfast and then go back to bed. That's just sex at 10am surely? To me its the snuggly point when you both wake and cuddle and aren't quite awake and it's all a bit hazy, if you get up and go back to bed you are fully awake and it's not the same.

I hate toast in bed too. You get crumbs.

Normally RosieEffect I do the same as I'm an early riser - so downstairs, quick drink and slide back into bed...however this morning spontaneity was a very, very pleasant start to the day

I love morning sex and so does my partner, unfortunately for him he gets up for work at 5 most mornings and at that time I’m usually still comatose

This very morning! With the cat watching. 6am. Everyone else zzzzzzzzzz.

We're both up for it in the AM. I'm up for it all the time frankly but DH works a hard physical job so he's more likely to be frisky on a week day after a good sleep.

YAB astonishingly U for using the word 'fruity' in this context. I think I'm now put off sex at any time of day or night for the rest of my life.

I'm not keen on the morning, I prefer afternoon which luckily is possible as DH works from home and I get in from work around 2 so we have an hour or so before the kids get home from school . Realistically though we tend to do it at bedtime. I don't think morning glory is really an arousal thing anyway is it? More a needing a wee in sleep thing?

Although I don't remember the last time DH had it - maybe at 40 he's well past it?

riot not necessarily. We had sex at 6am before DS woke up.
We've been known to have it earlier. We love morning sex.

Breakfast, shower, time in bad does sound nice on a time say when DCs were away on a sleepover.

I actually dumped someone over this. I'm not a morning person & he would want long morning sessions but would flat out refuse to be up for mid day or evening sessions. I started feeling so resentful it wasn't worth carrying on.

Half an hour more sleep or sex? I’m always going to choose the former.
