About the overuse of the word "clearly"

Every few years I notice a word that creeps its way into, but not quite, common usage, and "clearly" is currently doing this.

I just hate it - it's really patronizing and because something is "clearly" apparent to you, doesn't mean I (or anyone) sees it the same way although "clearly" you think we should.

Am I the only one that has "clearly" noticed this?

I do have form for this though, so it might just be me - previously it was "good, good" when the speaker actually meant 'good' and before that "strategies" - i won't explain my annoyance at that tho.

Basically, at the end of the day, you are clearly BU. Do you know what I mean? It's literally so obvious.

Bravo @CocoLoco87 you just won the thread. Make an acceptance speech, like.

'Does that make sense?' Used to punctuate every second sentence, usually when talking about something quite self explanatory. Especially when spoken by someone with a broad accent. 'ok?' peppering sentences in a very patronising way, as if the person is checking every few seconds that you understand their truly complex narrative.

Guilty of saying “ missus” but I quite like it as a term of affection.
I can’t be doing with “ defiantly” either!

I love clearly but save it for when I'm arguing and I'm right - obviously.

I detest 'super' and how every attractive woman is 'stunning' or the most routine place/food/event is 'amazing'. Only hear it on here, now I think about it.
