AIBU to think my nails are completely fucked now?!

Had acrylics on for a couple of months with infills every few weeks, all at the same place
Went back this weekend as they’ve started to lift and I thought I’d have them removed and give my nails a break
Was in there for ages and the guy has basically filed my nails down to nothing (thickness wise) and they are all peeling and barely there. the ones that haven’t snapped off are going to have to be cut as they’re so flimsy and bendy they’re just going to rip otherwise.
I’ve had acrylics before and when I had them removed my nails were nice and strong underneath so I wasn’t expecting this.

What can I do with them?! HELP

I taught myself to do gel nails but recently I moved house and decorated etc and destroyed every nail. They are now all thin and awful and will take months of regrowing to repair all over again!

Thank you for all the advice. I’ve been using opi nail envy for the moment and that seems to be helping, as well as cuticle oil. I’ve cut them down really short so they don’t look great but I’m hoping they will grow back a bit stronger and healthier

It’s really put me off acrylics

Op get down to semi Chem or super drug or boots and buy yourself a bottle of sally Hansen advanced hard as nails , it hardens nails, strengthens them prevents peeling, breaking etc...

And also I would leave my nails (don't try to cover it with more acrylics or extensions or anything like that) so you can let the damage grow out and healthy nail grow back in.....

Also make sure you go back to that salon and tell them what they have done to your nails,

Pretty standard.
Just got to wait for them to grow out.
They'll be back to normal with new growth but I'd use a nail strengthener serum or something similar until they grow back.
