To ask which jobs have these hours

My DH has just changed his job which means I can go to work while he watches the kids! Very excited, but struggling to find a job where I can work evening and/or weekends only! Where should I start looking? I'm willing to do pretty much anything!

Care work. Usually lots of twilight shifts and weekend workers needed.

MsJuniper · 23/02/2019 11:34

Theatres and cinemas are always looking for reliable staff who want to work those kind of hours.

MaryBoBary · 23/02/2019 11:36

Pub/restaurant work is good as you’ll earn cash tips as well - I used to easily earn £60 per weekend shift in tips and that was in a basic pub chain.

There’s something a bit depressing about this thread. I can’t put my finger on why because it’s such a positive one for OP.

I used to work part time in a call centre doing 6-9pm mon-thurs and 9-1pm on a Saturday. Hated the job but the hours were great whilst I was at uni.

Thanks everyone! I did my first shift shadowing another Carer this morning! It was full on to say the least but I think I'll really enjoy it once I get into the swing of it. I've got all my training paperwork to do now as well. I'm really excited! They can offer me the hours I need which is great, I get paid to train and they pay for the training itself. There's massive opportunity for career progression with this company too which is brilliant. Thanks for all the suggestions Grin
@C1rrus hmm, not sure! Maybe it's the fact that some people have to take whatever job they're lucky enough to get and not the job they'd love? Just hazarding a guess.

@Yabbers I wouldn't mind doing office cleaning but if I were to do without going through a company there is SO much red tape. I've looked into it before and it would cost a fortune to start up. It's something I will probably look into in the future when I have money to invest and I'll intend on employing staff. It's not really worth it to do it on my own for one silent.

Retail such as spar or a bookies

US hours IT support if you have the skills is a good one. I used to have a small team working from home providing support from 17:00 to 08:00 UK time (two shifts)

How about working for an office cleaning company, that's often evening and weekend work when the offices are empty.
