AIBU to ask if you have found such a thing? My Miele normal vacuum cleaner is so powerful it almost pulls the carpet off the floor. It is incredibly good.

I need a stick one for quick in between cleans of my (annoyingly light coloured) carpets and my (annoyingly light coloured) kitchen floor. I got a Morphy Richards supervac cordless one that was so low powered, it could barely suck up anything at all. I gave it away to someone for free in a fit of disgust.

I am therefore hesitant to get another stick one but wonder has anyone found one that has actual proper power? I don't want to always have to drag the Miele one around and up and down stairs.

My old Dyson was great. My Dyson animal is the shittest vacuum I have ever owned and has the worst customer service. I'll never buy another Dyson. We bought two, cord and cordless. Both fail to do their jobs. Often, the cord one blows dirt about and has to be dismantled to make it suck again. The cordless one loses power too rapidly and is feeble with regard to pet hair.

We bought both because of great allergy / pet reviews and they simply haven't worked.

Vax blade is great! Our cleaner recommended it after our dyson broke and I am very happy with it.

I dislike Dyson due to a poor design on the head on my old Animal. It had a stupid flap of rubber which clogged up on anything bigger than a grain of dust.
