hi we have a drop curb now our neighbour she likes to drive up the street then drives onto our drop curb to drive just a bit further up on the path to park her car outside her house next door so her car is all 4 wheels on the path and same for when she gets into her car drives right on the path and comes off onto the road using our drop curb but the other day i was reversing out of our drive way and didn't even see her coming down on the path to come off using our drop curb omg i was angry, i have asked her to stop doing that but unfortunately she told me to ++++ off she is a vile neighbour and the mouth on her she needs soap.we had had quite a lot of crap from her since she moved in like reporting me for putting my bin out the night before collection i told the guy when he come out she was only peed off because she couldn't use our drop curb to drive on becuase bin was out.she shouted to him (IF I WONT TO USE THAT CURB I WILL).had a lot of compliance letters we know its her but in all cases have not done anything wrong, she is a vile woman.is there something i can do about her using the drop curb problem

Is your problem that she is using your dropped curb, driving on the path, or parking on the path?

kaytee87 · 21/02/2019 19:17

It is not that difficult to understand the OP, no need to be so picky

It really is quite hard to read, I'm not being picky at all.
There's a reason people use full stops and paragraphs.

kaytee87 · 21/02/2019 19:19

Also I'd suggest you reverse into your driveway so you're not reversing out into traffic, prams, pedestrians etc. Especially if visibility is so poor you couldn't see your neighbours car.

Unhomme · 21/02/2019 19:19

How can we comment without a diagram?

GruciusMalfoy · 21/02/2019 19:24

Reverse onto your driveway. It's a lot safer than trying to reverse onto a road. You don't one the kerb, but if she's causing an obstruction I'd report her to the council.

E20mom · 21/02/2019 19:24

What your neighbour is doing is illegal. I doubt any action would be taken though.

GruciusMalfoy · 21/02/2019 19:25

Ugh, own, not one.

Pinkyyy · 21/02/2019 19:25

It is not that difficult to understand the OP, no need to be so picky

It actually is extremely difficult. I never usually point things like that out but I simply couldn't understand it.

DroningOn · 21/02/2019 19:29

Are you as precious about people driving on "your" piece of road outside your house too?

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 21/02/2019 19:29

It's very hard to follow the OP's post.

It's like the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you're shit.

Romanov · 21/02/2019 19:31

Yeah, you should be looking where you are going when you are reversing

daisypond · 21/02/2019 19:32

Do you mean she's driving on the pavement to get to your dropped kerb?

dworky · 21/02/2019 19:35

I have a dropped kerb which I paid for, however it doesn't actually belong to me. It's used constantly as it's often the only place for drivers to turn around.
Your neighbour sounds like a nightmare but I don't think you can do anything about her using the kerb.

PeterPiperPickedWrong · 21/02/2019 19:37

I’m assuming the dropped kerb is part of the public pavement and that you drive over this to access your driveway. In which case YABU as it isn’t your kerb.
If you didn’t see her then you wouldn’t have seen a pedestrian which is a bit concerning.

had a lot of compliance letters we know its her but in all cases have not done anything wrong
Presumably you have been reported for a lot of things then, so maybe it isn’t her that’s the problem. How do you know it is her? Maybe you bother other neighbours.

bestofme · 21/02/2019 19:37

Where I live there are grass verges either side of the dropped kerbs. A lot of people put boulders on each side of the grass verge. This stops people driving up and parking on the grass and so no damage to the verges. Could you do something similar?

Coolaschmoola · 21/02/2019 19:42

Not your kerb, you can't stop anyone using it.

You could report her for obstructing the pavement, but bear in mind you are also causing an obstruction by putting your wheelie bin on the pavement - it should be on your drive at the edge of your property, not on a public pavement.

IHeartMarmiteToast · 21/02/2019 19:42

All the pendants and paragraph police need to get to fuck.

And YABU... you don't own the kerb but here people put rocks out or posts. I suggest you do the same

Horsemenoftheaclopalypse · 21/02/2019 20:18

Are you worried she will “use up” the dropped curb and you’ll come home one day and find it has run out?

On a serious note just report her for parking on the pavement, which is illegal...

slashlover · 21/02/2019 21:03

All the pendants and paragraph police need to get to fuck.

Not when I've read it several times and am still unsure what is happening, obviously people asking questions are the same.

Nobody is sure if the OP means driving along the public path or the path between their houses, so possibly private land.

It's been 2 hours so I doubt @Jjjdm will be back to clarify.

Sirzy · 21/02/2019 21:09

If you can’t see a car when reversing out then you need to revserve in. If you can’t see a car you won’t see a small child!

peridito · 21/02/2019 21:34

As another poster has said ,in some areas the resident has to pay to have the kerb dropped and a crossover ( over the pavement ) installed .

If that's the case here I can understand why the OP would be annoyed by a neighbour using it and driving along the pavement to access her own forecourt .

But I don't know what can be done to stop it .
