To have hit delete?

We have a business facebook page that receives messages that I trudge through daily. Orders, issues etc. But yesterday I opened up only to find a message from my husband's ex. A stupid panda saying hello.. three times. Nothing else.

I hit delete and didn't tell the husband.

Is that unreasonable?

I feel like there's not enough info to decide!
How long were they together? How serious? How long ago was it?
Seems a bit unnecessary to delete it if you're secure in your marriage but also seems a bit unnecessary for her to be sending it anyway?

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2019 17:12

Too little info really.

Are they friends? When was the last time they saw each other?

reallyanotherone · 21/02/2019 17:14

No.

A polite message regarding an order, or some other issue, fine.

Waving panda’s? Delete every time.

shesgrownhorns · 21/02/2019 17:14

Sorry for not enough info.

They were together 2 years and it was serious. He finished with her though because she was messing about with someone else.

We've been married 10 years.

Not business related, fine to just delete and ignore.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 21/02/2019 17:17

My instinct would be that she was nosing on the page and accidentally sent stickers. It's easy to do on a mobile. I manage 40 odd pages and it happens a lot! Most people blame their toddler Grin

shesgrownhorns · 21/02/2019 17:19

I had a little look on her facebook page and it's full (quite literally) full of selfies of herself.

I don't like people who post selfies all the time I think it's narcissistic. But that's just me.

Perhaps she was replying to a hello but your DH deleted the sent one?

Either way, I'd have no problem mentioning it to my DH in a 'How strange' kind of way.

WorraLiberty · 21/02/2019 17:44

Not sure what the selfies have to do with it though, as I assume you would've still deleted anyway?

llangennith · 21/02/2019 17:50

YANBU. Hit delete every time.

shesgrownhorns · 21/02/2019 17:56

The nosing was just to find out what kind of person she seemed to be. Wether she looked like a bunny boiler.

OP posts:
YourSarcasmIsDripping · 21/02/2019 18:26

How does a bunny boiler even look like? Crazed eyes, wild hair and her fb page a shrine to your DH?
If this is the only time she initiated contact in 10 years it doesn't scream bunny boiler anyways, pandas or no panadas.

LuckyLou7 · 21/02/2019 18:31

Probably a mistake. I accidentally posted a cartoon person with their hands in the air saying 'yay!' under a comment from a friend about losing her job - oops. I swiftly deleted it and replaced it with a suitably sympathetic comment, but on the phone, Facebook often gives a choice of unsuitable emojis to reply with.

JacquesHammer · 21/02/2019 18:32

Why wouldn’t you tell him?

Aridane · 21/02/2019 20:49

You sound a little bit insecure
