I ordered 2 tablecloths online; they were advertised as duck egg blue. When I got them they were more of a sludge/moss green.
I asked to return them and get a refund which was accepted. But I had to pay the postage to receive them and the postage to return them. About 30 quid. I wrote to complain and after about 6 emails and phone calls back and forward they said that they would refund half of the postage. I was tired of arguing and didn't have the time and I accepted. So I was 15 quid out of pocket and didn't have my tablecloths! A couple of days later, I saw the same tablecloth on their website in the faulty section with the comment darker colour of duck egg blue than usual. They clearly knew that they had sent me seconds.
I now want to buy curtains from them and have written a few times to ask if the colour is faulty will they cover the cost of returning them. They won't. I won't buy the curtains now but is this normal? I get it that if I change my mind, I pay the return postage, but if the colour is not the same as that advertised, surely they should pay.
I am furious about this.

If goods are faulty you are then entitled to reasonable costs of return back. In this case the Consumer Rights Act comes into play.

Why are you thinking about ordering from them again? They've shown they can't be trusted to advertise correctly. It's not as though they are the only place that sell curtains … I would avoid.
