Is it U for occ health to suggest you pay for your own therapy at just under £1000? Especially when you have no absence caused by MH and are not deemed to be unwell? And given that the only reason you're seeing occ health is because work are worried about your mood as you were sad following a failed IVF attempt, and another attempt, which won't be in work time, will cost £9000+? Asking for a friend cough

I assume that was meant to say £100?
I wouldn’t expect occ health to suggest paid for by you therapy. They have suggested therapy for various colleagues at my place and the cost of that is always met by the company using the private healthcare they have.
I don’t understand why they thought a viable response to someone going through IVF which any idiot knows is so expensive is to spend more money.
Do you have support in RL through your journey?

No, 1000 total, 8 sessions.

Not gonna say too much as want this to be anon but it's not normal right? If employer come back and ask me to pay what should I do? Ive had a lot of concerns about how all this was handled. Also found HR is friends with occ health. Is that normal?

Sorry your IVF attempt failed. Good luck for the future.
I've had months (5 times) where I've been how you are feeling. The sadness gets less noticeable but I still have it. I suppress it. A close work colleague said to me 'you're more resilient than you think'. They were right but it's still bloody hard to cope with. Take time to look after yourself, mentally and physically. I really hope IVF works for you. Flowers
