Do you let your teenager hang out on a night?

Just been told by my almost 15 yr old I am boring and overprotective lol. A group of her school friends hang around the streets/park etc on a night and she is of course the only one who doesn't. I don't particularly want her to but do feel a bit hypocritical as I used to do just that when I was her age. But it's not the done thing now is it?!

Depends where and with whom. I used to hang out with my friends till late on a bench in the park, but all we did was talk and play. We were the school nerds!

I wasn't allowed to. We live rural small town & it's a 'thing' now before they old enough for pubs. My niece (15) does it but my brother does always collect her. Still he doesn't really know where r what she up to especially on the winter dark nights it must be freezing! There's no fast food or cinema type places close by. My Dh had a games room/onverted garage growing up where all the friends hung out (n his mum feeding them all!) he wants us to do same for when dc1 turns 13. thinks this will keep them of wanting to hang out on street corners. it's gonna cost about 10k I am not sure - would they use it or would it still be too close to mum n dad? I would do it if it would be used & happy to throw them some snacks but won't be constantly feeding them!
