If you work FT where are your children during half term/holidays?

I'm currently looking for full time work. I had DD (3) during university so I had no problems with childcare.

Just wondering where DD will go when it's the Easter/Summer and Xmas holidays. Do I need to fork out £££ to pay a childminder so I can continue to work?

Start looking for a childminder who covers school holidays as well .

One is in nursery (year round anyway), but school age one does a mix of holiday club (it’s only Tues-Thurs) and one of us takes off/works from home. My dh is self employed so it’s feasible for him to sometimes take her to work with him or he has an admin day at home. I either take annual leave or work a shorter day around her and make up the time elsewhere in the week. I have a good professional job with a lot of autonomy though and no one really questions where I am or what I’m doing. Not as easy if you have less autonomy and flexibility.

I put my kids in tennis camps, which takes up half the day (mornings). Fun, healthy and local, and you don't need to be a serious player to enjoy it. No complaints from daughter or son. Queens Park Tennis Club hosts camps this Easter. You can drop of kids as early as 8.30am. Check it out:

My daughters nursery is open all year round apart from a week at Christmas when we're off anyway.
When she starts school she'll be in holiday club most school holidays
