I do if there’s room in the DW, it saves water by not rinsing them under the tap.

I don't have a dishwasher but I don't see why it would be a problem as long as you are putting it on anyway and just squeezing in some recycling. If you were just doing a load with a few bits of recycling then I assume it would waste more water and energy than washing by hand (but I know washing machines are much more economical than they used to be, so maybe dishwashers are too - I don't know).

I stick tins (baked beans, tomatoes) in the dishwasher in the little bits of space left.

The advice where I am is that recyclables can be thrown out dirty and there is no need to wash them at all. There are big posters all over town advertising this.

Boom76 · 18/02/2019 21:01

I never wash them

SleepingBooty · 18/02/2019 21:02

I also don't wash them out.

Stinkytoe · 18/02/2019 21:02

I put mine through the dishwasher, our area wants them cleaned and sometimes it’s a pain to wash them!

DramaAlpaca · 18/02/2019 21:03

I put glass jars in the dishwasher if there's room.

EmmaC78 · 18/02/2019 21:08

I don't wash mine either.
