Did you see what I did there? 😉

Was on a similar thread a few weeks ago but it's disappeared. 🙄

So me and the OH has just finished Game of thrones.. LOVED IT!!
We also enjoyed....

The walking dead
Doctor who
Lost
Hero's
Misfits
Life on Mars
The 100

So can anyone maybe suggest something we can watch??

Also... would be helpful to include maybe a mini description as to what kinda theme or story it is?
Thank you so much!!

SheSellSeaShells · 18/02/2019 19:56

Friends from college and also The defiant ones

wildbhoysmama · 18/02/2019 20:01

Babylon Berlin - the best thing I've watched in ages. Set in the Weimar Republic
( Germany inter war years) crime/ mystery. Very authentic, amazing. English subtitles. A must watch.

Bluestitch · 18/02/2019 20:03

Power on Netflix is amazing, so gripping and addictive.

gkite2020 · 18/02/2019 20:04

Brooklyn 99 is a load of guff, don't waste your time Confused
Late to the party but I've just finished bates motel, I have mourned it! So good and weird and confusing and good!!

Anyat212 · 18/02/2019 20:06

Orphan black is fab however can see you’ve put that right at the top.

I’d also suggest Queen of the South - it’s definitely an underrated series which is soo good. Season 1&2 are on Netflix. It’s a similar theme to Narcos / breaking bad.. it’s about drugs lords in Mexico & Texas and how this drug mule works her way up (I haven’t spoilt it trust me she tells you this in the first 5mins of episode 1!)

Anyat212 · 18/02/2019 20:06

I second Power too, that’s so addictive!

The Ozarks on Netflix, brilliant. I'll second Outlander on Prime, gutted we have just finished bingeing it.

We started watching Russian Doll on Netflix but it wasn't for us.

Coffeeisnecessary · 18/02/2019 20:11

Better call Saul is brilliant on Netflix, it's a spin off telling the story of how the lawyer became the lawyer he was in breaking bad (so amazing, I lost weeks to that programme!)

sulflower · 18/02/2019 20:12

Also second The Americans, one of the best series we have watched.

shartsi · 18/02/2019 20:15

Outlander definitely. It's the best series I have watched in the last few weeks.

Also the Borgias on sky and Medici on Netflix

I find crazy ex girlfriend boring these days

Supernatural
Altered Carbon
Mindhunter
The Alienist
Santa Clarita Diet
Glow
The Let Down
Sex Education
Line of Duty
Big Little Lies

chocolateworshipper · 18/02/2019 20:56

Luther - a cop who bends the rules
Line of Duty - the police investigating the police
How to get away with murder - good early episodes about lawyers
Suits - about lawyers, but quite funny early on, and great characters
White Collar - a loveable rogue who's a bit of eye candy
The Good Wife - more lawyers
Seven Seconds - very powerful and moving drama - the consequences of a choice
Unforgotten - investigation of old crimes, lots of forensics
The IT Crowd - if you've ever been in IT or know people in IT, bloody hilarious
Scorpion - a group of geniuses who help solve problems for the government
Prime Suspect - Helen Mirran is bloody brilliant
Touch - a boy with special needs, yet incredible powers
Limitless - a trial on using a drug that boosts IQ and other powers
Stranger Things - difficult to define, but a must-see
Star Trek Discovery - one of the best Star Trek series
Timeless - a small group travelling back in time to try and stop a criminal group
Number 9 - stand-alone episodes - some more funny than others - my favourite is the second one
Black Mirror - stand-alone episodes that look at what the future could look like
Person Of Interest - crime, but with a great twist - don't want to give it away
Designated Survivor - a man who finds himself President of the US
The Good Place - comedy which has already been mentioned
River - how a cop copes (or doesn't) with tragedy

wellhellothereall · 18/02/2019 21:22

The Sinner, Jack Ryan, killing eve

ViolaD77 · 18/02/2019 22:04

Kingdom is very good

UatuTheWatcher · 19/02/2019 00:16

Just binged watched Designated Survivor. It's only 2 seasons at the moment but 3 should be out soon. Tom Kirkman is nominated the designated survivor, the person who steps in if the whole of the US government is wiped out and it is and he does.

Lucifer, the Prince of the Underworld is living on earth and running a night club and consulting with the police. Lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll and celestial beings and not enough of Tom Ellis singing unfortunately.

MissSingerbrains · 19/02/2019 00:26

The Americans is the best drama of the last few years, on par with Breaking Bad etc

TheSpamCounter · 19/02/2019 04:12

Binge watch Better Call Saul.

Bob Odenkirk is the man.

wellthismakesnosense · 19/02/2019 04:13
  1. Orphan Black
  2. Orphan Black
  3. Orphan Black
  4. Orphan Black
  5. Orphan Black
  6. Orphan Black

I know you’ve listed it already, and it’s not one that lots of people generally shout about, but as you can tell, it’s one I recommend highly! So weird, fantastic lead actress, brilliant. I am still mourning it!

Just started Dirty John on Netflix which seems good so far.
