Mothercare! What a crock of sh*t!!

I ordered a carseat on Friday and the woman told me it would be there Monday (today) then I said would it be any extra to have it delivered to the house (I would of payed) and she said no. So to my surprise I check the order and it isn't coming till Friday ring the store and she says 'oh if you want it delivery to home it takes 3-5 working days' no apology just says she will ring me back... so now I am without a carseat until Friday as arranged with amazon to pick up the faulty one I have today.

The last time I had a problem was when I was pregnant with DD, I was looking at an iCandy pram wanting to purchase, pushing it round with DM and seeing if my DN fit well in it when a sales assistant came over snatched the pram of me and said 'Someone wants to look at that' very aggressively.... so I went elsewhere

AIBU to complain about the store and those members of staff to head office? They clearly need more training and customer service help.... I will never set foot in Mothercare again or buy online because of them, iv never had one good experience in that store in the 6 years iv been going.

About 20 years ago I bought something that was labelled £9.99.
The staff member rang it up as 6.66 as looking at upside down even though it had a £sign in the correct place as a clue.
I couldn’t believe it was actually happening.

I found they sold nothing suitable for a baby when i had dd (shes 2 now) Was a shock. Anyway thry in such a location in my town its impossible to get to so dont bother. Noneof my friends with dc have. Managed to get there apart from one who got some bargains. Sad if they go but sadly think supermarkets taken their market cheaper.

@londonrach its not about the price for me its about being properly informed and being treated with respect, when your paying hundreds of pounds for 1 item you expect to be given correct information..... 😩

I have had good and bad service from mothercare. They cancelled my cot orderr the day of delivery, but still sent me the mattress and other small items. The item was out of stock, but I found they had one in a store about 25 min drive away. They arranged for the store to keep that one, and they would sort out the payment side of things. We collected and everything was fine. They then refunded me the money for the cot. I phoned customer services to explain. The chap put me in hold for a while while speaking to someone. When hecame back he said thank you for being honest, but don't worry about it. I don't think they knew how to take the payment back again. I wasn't going to argue!

Mothercare are horrendous - most of them anyway, Derby most particularly.

They actually sold me a pram (in the sale) that was 2 DIFFERENT prams (I.e. it had the chassis of one and the hood of another) and then tried to stop me returning it because it had been reduced. I only realised because I saw the same pram in another shop and realised the bar across was completely missing.

It took me about 20 emails to their head office and 5 calls to the store to get it sorted.

That being said, their Leeds Crown Point store and staff are amazing.
