A little Friday fun............. what's your best revenge story?! Either on a partner or friend etc.

I've never actually "got revenge" on someone as I have a guilty conscience and I know I'd feel terrible afterwards!!! But always found other people's stories funny/interesting/imaginative!

And there was the cheating boyfriend who I got revenge on by waiting until he went on his business trip, (which had been planned for a couple of months, and he was due to leave two days after I found out he was cheating). He'd given me his keys to feed and check on the cat. So I went straight round once he'd left and took a garden hose and soaked all his carpets. Then I scattered cress seeds on all his carpets, LOL. By the time he came home his whole flat was growing cress !! !! :)
Man, I've just realised I've got a lot of stories where I've got revenge ! Maybe I'm stronger than I realise, cos once I've not given this any thought at all until the question was asked, which means I'd 'let go' of the anger, hurt etc because I don't feel 'a victim' of other peoples bad treatment of me. Yaaay me ! :)

spam390 · 16/02/2019 20:36

There was another time when I caught my boyfriend ' doing the dirty' at a party at his house. I was understandably upset, and had no intention of ever seeing him again, so I used what was handy. Namely king prawns ( you know the ones you buy in a wheel shape for parties?). I grabbed a handful and diligently went round the rooms dropping some behind radiators and putting some inside the curtain poles. :) :)
Apparently he even had specialist cleaners come in to try to get rid of the smell !!! LOL. Served him right ! I have absolutely no regrets :)

Is vengeful the same as being strong?!

tor8181 · 16/02/2019 21:16

nothing my self but in the 90s when i worked in a office a guy got fired for aggressive behavior,he went out for dinner got drunk and got arsey with his boss,he was fired on the spot as he was very aggressive

all this happened on 4 floors above me so im going on my friend(at the time) say so.

a few weeks later we were going through a heatwave and this horrifying smell just wouldn't go away and the poor new woman who took over his job couldn't sit in the room anymore as it was so bad,all was deeply cleaned and still nothing changed,a week later she saw something dripping from the air conditioning system,it turned out he unscrewed the air conditioning flap put in some sea food and screwed it back up and in the heat it went rotten

months later winter came but this smell still lingered, she said it was a sewer smell so they emptied the whole office of everything, repainted it,new curtains, carpets still wont go away so they locked the office and left it.

months later the whole building had a new heating system, room was fitted and when they took out the radiator a box fell out he pooed in a box unscrews the top section placed it in and screwed it back up and as it was a tupperware box it was still intact

i left the week after so dont know what happened after but i will always remember his clever way of getting back at them

ComeOnGordon · 16/02/2019 21:35

I was impressed with myself that I didn’t do anything revengeful after I found out my ex of 20 years had cheated on me for over a year. I just tried to hold my head high and not let him see how much he’d upset me.

Until I found a portion of pasta Bolognese that the OW had made him and he had dared to bring it into our family house (just before he moved out). So I spat in it. Three times. Never spat in my life but god it was satisfying

SchadenfreudePersonified · 16/02/2019 21:38

spam - I hope you still looked after the poor bloody cat! TBH you sound like a totally deranged witch! The only one I have sympathy you with is your unreasonable boss.

tor - that is beyond disgusting! I'm all fro vengeance, but not like that!

MyKingdomForBrie · 16/02/2019 22:26

Why would you need to take 'revenge' on someone for having BO?? That's just bullying.

mazv1953 · 17/02/2019 00:08

I told a guy who was cheating on my friend that he had won an all expenses paid holiday plus £1000 spending money. To collect he had to go to a hotel in the Orkneys with his birth certificate ....

KatharinaRosalie · 17/02/2019 10:39

Spam stories are urban legends. www.snopes.com/fact-check/seafood-revenge/

Al2O3 · 17/02/2019 11:12

Years ago I had a plot on an allotment adjacent to the village church. One summer God made it rain so much all my potatoes got blighted, my beans went mouldy and we all got invaded by slugs. I organised an allotment holders debaunched mammoth sex session in the churchyard one evening as payback. Halfway through I got struck by lightening which raced across the village and burned the vicarage down.

KatharinaRosalie is wrong to assume these stories are not true. Although I've heard of other doing the seafood and cress (more than one person CAN and DO come up with similar/ same ideas you know), I've never heard of anyone else engraving a necklace to a racist or of sending a postcard to an unreasonable boss, though I'm sure that someone, somewhere may have had the same general idea at some point in time !
Geeesh, Get a more interesting life girl ! I HAVE done these things and others besides, and what's more I have no regrets about it ( and Yes, I DID take good care of the cat :) )

Alfiesmom74 · 17/02/2019 12:49

When I split up with my ex and he came to collect his clothes etc I only gave him one shoe out of each pair. Petty but it made me feel better!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 17/02/2019 13:50

I agree with Spam - they're not JUST urban legends, some people DO them. I was advised to do both the seafood in the curtain poles and the cress in the carpet, and it was honestly only the ex's supposition that I would do something like that, that stopped me because I just wouldn't give him the satisfaction!

MissMarplesBloomers · 17/02/2019 14:18

Years ago when I was a surgical staff nurse I got a job on a ward in a S.London hospital.
It had 2 ward sisters for some reason & I was interviewed by Sr A who seemed really nice.

Sr B was not & took a dislike to me early on, mainly because, I think, I knew my speciality & she clearly didn't, even though I kept my head down & didn't question her authority.

She would seek me out regularly & dress me down in front of other staff, to the point it was obvious & I started looking for another job as I was so unhappy. She would often tell me I would get nowhere in nursing.

Fast forward 5 years & I was by then a Ward Sister working on an acute ward & involved in a pioneering drug trial that was showing some amazing results. The drug company asked my consultant & I to attend a conference, fully paid at a swanky London venue & do a presentation on our findings.

Yep... Sister B was there in the front row .... and clearly gobsmacked to see me & to see I had done rather well in my field.

GOD it felt good Smile

MulticolourMophead · 17/02/2019 15:04

KatharinaRosalie Some people have really done these revenges, though. People hear the urban myths and think it's a good idea so they do go on and try it themselves. I was tempted myself to do one particular thing (but didn't in the end simply as I had too much to do).

sage46 · 17/02/2019 15:06

Years ago I finally got fed up with my then dp philandering so I slept with his brother and his best friend in the space of 24 hours. I had fancied them both for ages. That made him pause for a moment!

Teddysmum7 · 17/02/2019 15:15

I once put dog poo in my ex's pillow cases and curtains and under his rug. He found all but the curtain poo and the place stank terrible for ages. He then begged me back because I'm 'psycho' but he likes it 😎 I add that while doin the above while he was out I found several items that made me even more adament that we were over including men's ugg boots, 'guyliner' and concealer which, before u assume was a woman's, was all his... He's never come out the closet but I think it's immanent 😁

Bluesheep8 · 17/02/2019 15:19

marielvan Putting people on an information diet. That's brilliant. Just brilliant. Thank you for that phrase!

stanski · 17/02/2019 15:23

A member of my family (female)'s EXP had his tires slashed when he left her for OW. He was abroad back in his country of origin at the point of her finding out about OW, she flew there to hunt his car down, and then flew back as if nothing happened.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 17/02/2019 19:12

I love to concoct an elaborate and colourful revenge plan. I put a lot of energy into it, but then I let it go and move on. The planning is enough for me, and arseholes tend to end up paying the price for their behaviour eventually, one way or another.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 17/02/2019 19:51

A pe teacher at my secondary school refused to accept my dyspraxia meant I couldn't jump over the hurdles. He lifted me up and pulled me over them. When my mum saw the bruises on my legs the next she 'went up the school' and he was never allowed to teach me again.

Before I left we had a boys versus girls hockey match and the teachers joined in including him. Our female pe teacher insisted we wore shin guards and hockey boots but apparently the boys weren't sissies like us. I may have accidentally hit him full in the shin as I may have been trying to get the ball. His shriek of pain may have been heard across the school field. I may have heard whispered congratulations as I left the field sobbing ( never been able to fake that again!)

Revenge is a dish best served very cold!

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 17/02/2019 19:56

Oh and didn't do cress but a variation of it. At uni there was an incredibly sexist guy in my halls so a group of us annoyed women collected all the clippings from hole punches we could find, out them along the gap under his door and used hair dryers to blow them in. He was furious!

TomHardysCardy · 17/02/2019 21:03

exh left me when I was pregnant, he was on a swinging site with OW lots of nude pictures of the pair of them including one of a sex act. I had found the login details, I printed off everything including pictures laminated them and sent them to his parents, who lied about ow despite her staying at their house with him!!!

I used his electric toothbrush to clean plug holes in bath, sinks and the toilet.

While I don't regret doing these things at, at the time they gave me a bit of power back, I do think with the benefit of hindsight that moving on with my life and being truly happy is a better revenge.

Recently DP & I have been targeted by an ex of dp, it started with some spiteful silly messages etc, but turned into very dangerous stuff, it stopped when a mutual friend was talking to her and she dropped herself in it with a comment about something that friend knew but she wouldnt have had she not done it. Karma is a bitch, a lot of people now know what she has done

Same here Dribble

But I'm not saying that if I got the chance to "accidentally" trip my tormentor up so that s/he landed in dog poo, that I wouldn't do it.
