Can I fly internally on a drivers licence? Flights booked to Exeter next week and cannot find my fecking passport.

Usually, yes, but check with airports and airline/s.

PuzzlingPuzzle · 15/02/2019 00:15

Feck! Check with your airline but you will hopefully be fine if it’s an internal flight. I know FlyBe let you fly domestic within the U.K. on a driving licence as I’ve done it myself.

TeddyIsaHe · 15/02/2019 00:20

@PuzzlingPuzzle ooh I like the cut of your jib, I’m flying Flybe!

Yes, I had a passport failure (ok I forgot it) recently and just used my DL. You will look quite sophisticated and well travelled just passing over the card.

Bryjam · 15/02/2019 00:37

My gran flew domestic with Flybe on her bus pass a few years ago

Justaboy · 15/02/2019 00:42

Arent they going broke or being taken over in a rescue deal?.

Bryjam · 15/02/2019 00:45

Yes they are. If the shareholders reject the take over on 4th March the company will be wound up.

Time40 · 15/02/2019 01:09

Oh, that's a shame. I like Flybe. They're a good little airline, with some sweet little planes.

mytieisascarf · 15/02/2019 01:19

I just flew from Gatwick to Glasgow and didn't show id to anyone.

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 15/02/2019 01:21

Yep as long as you aren’t flying outside the uk, just only need to show id

JagerPlease · 15/02/2019 08:11

Yeah driving license is fine, and unless you're checking in a bag it's unlikely you'll need to show it anyway

Bryjam · 15/02/2019 08:20

Oh, that's a shame. I like Flybe. They're a good little airline, with some sweet little planes.

It's likely that the airline will be taken by virgin and the same staff/aircraft will still be around. The only thing to change from the passenger point of view will be the colour of the plane!

palahvah · 15/02/2019 19:08

Depends on the airline. Ryanair insist on passport. BA fine with DL.

sequinafortune · 15/02/2019 19:18

Yeah, I flew Flybe this week - DL was fine Grin

DeathyMcDeathStarFace · 15/02/2019 20:13

My dh flew from Bristol to Glasgow about 4 years ago using his driving license for ID. He doesn't have a passport, all he needed was pictorial ID.

You should be ok.
